Story
I'm Fluffy, a striking 4-year-old girl with a beautiful white and blond coat and a heart that needs time, patience, and understanding to shine. As a Great Pyrenees-Anatolian Shepherd mix, I'm a substantial presence at 64 pounds, and I'm spayed and ready for my forever home. I do best with people who will allow me to adjust at my own pace and give me the time I need to build trust and confidence. I also require a home with another confident dog already in the household who can help show me the ropes, provide reassurance, and help me continue learning about the world around me. I'd do best in a cat-free household where I can feel comfortable and continue growing into the amazing companion I'm meant to be. A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both me and my potential adopters. My adoption fee is $350, and I promise that with a little love, patience, and understanding, you'll discover what a wonderful companion I can be. Come meet me and let's build something special together! ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Buffy! Buffy is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing 61 pounds. This sweet girl is still a little shy and is looking for a patient family willing to give her the time, understanding, and support she needs as she continues building confidence. Buffy is still learning to trust people and will thrive with adopters who understand that relationships and confidence take time to build. She is looking for people who are willing to move at her pace, give her the space she needs, and allow her to become comfortable on her own terms. Because Buffy takes comfort and guidance from other dogs, she requires a home with another confident dog already in the household. Having a canine companion will help her continue building trust, understand the world around her, and provide reassurance as she adjusts and grows. Buffy also requires a home with no small animals. A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Buffy and her potential adopters. With patience, understanding, and a confident canine friend by her side, Buffy has all the potential to continue blossoming into a wonderful companion. She is looking for a family ready to support her journey and celebrate the little victories along the way.
