Story
Meet Sunny Sunny is our super fluffy and handsome four-year-old Great Pyrenees mix! He came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in the South when they no longer had room for this big boy. Sunny is the definition of a gentle giant! He can play a bit hard to get in the beginning when meeting new people but once he knows your good people, it's not long before he's leaning his entire body into you for love or rolling over on his back for the all important belly rubs! Due to the nature oh his coat, he's going to need a family that is committed to making sure his luxurious locks stay in the best shape with daily brushing and frequent grooming. But the good news is he loooovvveesss to be brushed! Sunny has made several dog friends since his arrival! While his size can be a bit intimidating for other dogs at first, he really is a big teddy bear and has the goofiest play style that's always fun to watch in action! He's also met a few younger kids and wasn't the biggest fan of their loud and unpredictable nature so would do best in a home with older children. Sunny is a big loving fluff looking for his furever home so stop by today if you think Sunny would be the perfect addition to your family! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
We'll also keep you updated on Carmel's adoption status with email updates.
