Story
Hi my name is Axel! I came to the shelter as a stray after I was found running around town with another dog. I haven`t been here long so as the staff get to know me, my bio will be updated. I love my playtime with my doggo friend Calli out in the big yard. I tend to be shy at first but once I get to know you I am your best pal. The staff say I have really great leash manners and with some patience and understanding my confidence will only go up! I enjoy getting tasty treats from the staff and I am working on learning the command `sit`. I am a playful pup once I get to know you and enjoy getting a lot of attention. I am heartworm negative, microchipped, and UTD on my vaccinations. If you are interested in fostering or adopting me please visit the shelter`s website at www.sjbhumanesociety.org or call the shelter at 850.227.1103 Tuesday - Saturday during normal business hours for more information.

Story
Meet Calli!Calli is a sweet and shy young lady who came to the shelter as a stray alongside her doggy friend, Axel. Though she’s still settling in, she’s already showing what a loving companion she can be.She enjoys yard play with Axel and has impressed staff with her excellent leash manners. While she’s working on building confidence, she’s made great strides and hopes her future family will be patient and kind as she continues to bloom.Calli is super treat-motivated and adores her daily walks. She’s also proudly potty-trained (she even gives a polite bark when it’s time to go!). She spent time in a foster home, where she proved to be very well-behaved and clearly accustomed to home life. She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. Calli is ready to find a soft spot to land—and someone who sees the quiet magic in her gentle heart.
