Ivy needs to be the only animal in the home so she can receive all the love and attention she deserves. Her ideal home would have plenty of space to run and play, with room between neighbors, as Ivy is vocal and likes to make her presence known. She walks well on a leash in calm settings, but will react strongly if she encounters other dogs. Ivy is best suited for an experienced owner who understands her alpha nature and can provide the structure, space, and one-on-one companionship she needs to thrive.

Hello Dolly! our beautiful Anatolian Shepherd, has come a long way, but this sweet girl is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She has been in a home but it is a busier than what she needs. Things like bushhogging, sirens, and other loud noises can still send her looking for safety. She is much better, but she still has some confidence-building and desensitizing left to do. We think a quieter, predictable home could be exactly what she needs. Dolly is also uncomfortable with the man in her current home. We don’t know whether she had a frightening experience with a man in her past or if she simply associates him with some of the noisy activities around the property. For now, a female-only household would be ideal, or with a man that is not eager to engage, so she can truly relax and decompress. We’re looking for a patient, quiet home to give Dolly time, space, and gentle encouragement while she continues discovering that home can be a safe place.
