Meet Mika! She's a 1 year old intact female Karakachan/Great Pyrenees mix from Kentucky. Mika has failed as a livestock guardian dog and prefers to be with humans. Her current owner has been recently diagnosed with a progressive illness and isn't able to meet her needs. Mika was adopted from a farm at 3 months old and has been with the same owners since then. Mika knows how to sit, 'drop' (lay down), leave it, and wait. She walks well on a leash but she does pull when she's excited, and she's lived with other cats and dogs. She does not mix well with chickens. Good with big kids, no exposure to small children/babies. Embark records showing clean health tests and 0% inbreeding available, Mika has been seen regularly by a vet and is on all worm, flea, and tick preventatives. Adoption fee includes her beds, remainder of her k9 advantage, food, and heartguard plus. Owner is undergoing surgery on June 10th and would like to rehome prior to surgery if possible.
