So you know about my namesake, right?? Well, I guess if you are not a Boomer, maybe not?? Mr Peabody was a dog, with special abilities.. he could talk, reason and even go to school. He got lonely and decided to adopt a boy to be his companion :) And his name was Sherman. They had all kinds of adventures but ALWAYS stuck together! That is what I am looking for now, too.... MY own COMPANION boy or girl! I am kind of a big lug, furry and cute and DEFINITELY the pick of the litter! I am like a big cuddle bug with lots of love and devotion to give you! Apollo is great with dogs & loves people. He's a typical pyr who likes to play but is just as content being a couch potato. Apollo requires a tall, secure wood fence. He sails over a 4 ft fence & climbs anything taller if its a wire fence. He's very intent on seeing what's on the other side or visiting the other side :) You can't blame him, he is named after the Greek God for healing or all the spaceships we have sent into space??? Meet Maggie. She is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Pit mix(with a few other mix of breeds. Her DNA test is attached) she was adopted out as a young puppy and then returned to us in April because a home with young kids wasn’t a good fit for her. She can be a little anxious and a lot of times anxious dogs and kids do not mix well. She has lived with other dogs and a cat in the past. She has participated in several different of our play groups and has done well, but does tend to get a little protective of her favorite people from the other dogs. She is definitely a people person and enjoys just lounging around with you. She loves soaking up all the attention she can and loves getting pets(especially from her favorite person Jen) she has done very well here at the shelter up until about a month ago. She has become very stressed and just wants to get into a home. She is spayed, current on vaccines, negative for heartworm and microchipped

It’s clear these girls were deeply loved, and this transition has been a big one for them.Maddie is a gentle, sensitive soul with soulful, expressive eyes, who has a wonderful calm energy but can be quite shy at first. She tends to hang back and observe until she feels safe, but with patience and kindness, her sweet nature begins to shine through. While Maddie and Sadie came to us together and are comfortable with one another, they are not considered bonded and can be adopted separately. That said, Maddie would truly benefit from having another confident, friendly dog in her forever home to help guide her and build her confidence. She takes comfort in canine companionship and blossoms when she has a furry friend nearby.Maddie is looking for a kind and loving home that will give her the time she needs to adjust and her kind, soulful, and low maintence personality to shine through. If you have a calm environment and possibly a canine companion to show her the ropes, Maddie just might be your perfect gentle giant.
