Meet Booche the pooche He is a good boy needing a new home- no fault of his own! Born on a horsefarm to a Great Pyrenees mother and a gentleman caller in the night almost 4 years ago. Loves to cuddle and hates to be in the rain! He is a big boy that grew and grew with love- has reached 142 lbs at last check up. Needs to have doggy mate to be happiest. Hates to be alone, but does sleep in his kennel and knows it as safe place.

Meet Star! Star is a 10 year old Pyrenees/Hound mix. Star is a super sweet girl. She is house trained and does well with older kids. She needs an active family that keep her busy and exercised. Star needs a home with NO cats, and this pretty little lady prefers the company of male dogs only. If you would like to make this sweet girl a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org. STAR'S ADOPTION FEE IS $100The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
