Story
Harry is initially timid, but warms up quickly and is so gentle with humans. He is learning to trust more each day and now loves to be brushed, petted and rubbed He will even stick his head under your arm. .He is good with other big dogs and has discovered that treats are super yummy!! He is potty trained and sleeps in his kennel. He will do best with an organized routine and someone who will continue with patient training so he can gain confidence.

If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with many of our adoptable dogs there.
Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day!
Harry is a gorgeous young pup, who has so much life to enjoy ahead of him.
He was rescued as a stray & took a good while to catch, as he was afraid of coming close to humans. Although initially shy & timid, he quickly warmed up & is sweet & gentle w humans. He is good with the other large dog in his foster home. He has learned to love treats, but the poor guy didn’t know what they were at first. He is now sleeping in his kennel & is great about going out to potty, getting restless, so you know he needs to go. He is also learning affection, & now likes to be brushed, petted or rubbed, and stick his big head under your arm. Harry just needs someone to continue with patient training & positive reinforcement, so he gains additional confidence & can overcome his remaining fears. He will make an excellent loyal companion & deserves all the love & comfort of a forever family, after missing out his 1st go around.

**All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue.
