Bailey is a 7-year-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix with a big body and an even bigger heart. Found as a puppy roaming the woods, she’s grown into a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to find her forever family.
Weighing in at about 80 pounds, Bailey is convinced she’s actually a tiny lap dog and we’re not going to argue with her. She absolutely loves snuggling up in bed or on the couch for movie time. She’ll happily keep you company any chance she gets. She thrives on being close to her people and prefers to be part of the family at all times (she will definitely let you know if she’s feeling left out!).
Bailey does have a slight indent in her hips, so her activity is kept low-impact—no marathon runs or big jumps—but she gets around just fine and has never had any mobility issues. She’s happy with a relaxed lifestyle filled with love, short strolls, and lots of lounging.
She’s wonderful with cats and does well with most dogs, though slow introductions are best. Bailey prefers to enjoy her meals and toys without sharing with other furry friends, so a little space during those times keeps everyone happy.
One of Bailey’s favorite “jobs” is being your personal property guardian. Each morning, she eagerly checks the perimeter to make sure everything is just as it should be. She is a devoted protector!
Bailey absolutely adores children and would make an incredible best friend for a kid looking for a loyal companion to grow up with.
She’s looking for a family who will embrace her affectionate, slightly goofy personality and give her the love and inclusion she deserves.

Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.
For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters.
Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm test (6 months and older) microchipped and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
