Story
I AM SPONSORED! Thank you Scarlett and Landon for sponsoring me! Freckles is a 2 - 3 yr old male Great Pyrenees mix. He has a high energy level, so he would benefit from an active family with a fenced yard and plenty of space for daily exercise and play. He is loose and wiggly when greeting, and comes when called for snuggles and kisses. Freckles does moderately pull on a leash, but with basic obedience training, he should be walking like a champ in no time! He is food motivated, but does not yet know any commands. He mixes well with other dogs in a kennel, but is intensely interested in cats in the shelter environment. Dogs are generally tested with dogs of their own size; and dog meets with the resident dogs are always encouraged. Our cat test should be used as a general-purpose screening only to rule out overt aggression; we always recommend caution when introducing dogs to cats in the home. Recommendation on suitability of placement with children by their ages is based on behavioral observations including energy level and response to body handling. We never recommend leaving young children unsupervised with dogs, and we cannot guarantee the behavior of dogs with children, other pets, or cats. Behavior evaluations should be considered as a snapshot of the behavior of the dog at this point in time; JHS believes all dog families need to be prepared to invest time and energy into training as well as provide common sense management of their new dog. We always encourage family to do some research on the breeds or mixes of breeds prior to adoption as many can have some unique characteristics that may or may not fit into their families. Always remember that the majority of dogs at our shelter have been exposed to or may have kennel cough. Kennel cough is contagious to other dogs, please talk to your vet if you have any questions about kennel cough prior to adoption. Please ask your adoption counselor at time of adoption if you have any unanswered questions regarding illnesses and treatments of the pet that you are adopting. For more information about this dog or any others at our Shelter, please visit www.joplinhumane.org. We are the Joplin Humane Society in Joplin, Missouri. 417-623-3642. I HAVE A BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP! THANK YOU PAMPERED POOCH DAY SPA FOR MY BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP!

Story
Nova is a beautiful pure bred Great Pyrenees who is well trained and gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. Shes cuddly, very friendly, and loves all animals and just wants to be friends with everyone. Shes very calm and knows how to relax. She loves walks and being outside where she can smell for hours. She needs a backyard to be able to get that outside time. Shes a rescue and we aren’t sure about where she came from originally but she has gotten blood work to confirm that she is pure bred. All I want is for her to go to a loving home with her Sister Lyla.

Story
I bought Pongo three years ago from the lady that raises Great Pyrenees /Australian Shepherd puppies thinking that it would be something good to get me and my granddaughter out of the house more often as time has went by he’s gotten older and bigger bigger than I really And we live in an apartment complex he needs more space to run and I don’t foresee me getting to move any place where I can have him a bigger area and I can’t really afford to take him to the vet like he probably needs to be taken. He takes anxiety, medicine of noise and animals and people around this apartment complex makes him very highly nervous, and that’s the reason why I’m rehoming him. I would like to get $100 rehoming fee. Please find him a good home.
