Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Oreo, a handsome, happy-go-lucky 4-year-old, 94 lb Great Pyrenees / Lab mix who brings the perfect blend of outdoor enthusiasm and indoor calm. Outside, Oreo loves to stretch his legs, run, play, and explore—whether he has playmates or is entertaining himself, a securely fenced in yard is a must for this big boy. Inside, he shifts gears into a much more relaxed companion who’s content to share the couch with you or another dog. He’s a big boy, so his joyful tail wags can be powerful, but they’re full of love. Oreo is a wonderful greeter and delights in welcoming you home with excitement and affection. He happily soaks up all the attention you’ll give and, if you let him, will gladly curl up beside you at night. He knows “no,” “down,” and “sit,” though sitting outside takes him a moment—he’s just so eager to enjoy the outdoors. He’s fully housetrained and crate-friendly, especially if he’s offered a chew toy; once he’s settled in, he naps contentedly. This lovable giant gets along beautifully with visitors of all sizes and is respectful of cats—he’s quickly learned that claws mean business. While not a watchdog, he makes up for it with his friendly charm. Oreo does pull on the leash and can get excited about chasing cars, wildlife, or ATVs, so he’ll benefit from continued guidance/training and safe spaces to run. Car rides aren’t his favorite yet, but with a seatbelt strap and reassurance, he manages just fine. Oreo would thrive in a country setting, a home with property, or an active household that can give him room to play and enjoy life. He’s incredibly sweet and gentle at heart, but due to his size and enthusiasm, he’d do best in a home without small children or elderly individuals who could be knocked over accidentally. If you’re looking for a big, affectionate companion with a playful spirit and a loving soul, Oreo is ready to fill your home with joy, tail wags, and warm snuggles.  Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Yeti, the polar bear you never knew you needed! She came to us in July 2025 with her siblings. They were anemic, neglected and starved for love. She was the largest of her litter and their protector, so she developed trust issues with new people that has stayed with her. Yeti’s Personality Snapshots: With Trusted People- She is a gentle giant, leaner, dramatic sighs, 70lb fluffy blanket, licker of the face, and looks at you like you are her world! With Strangers- She activates her statue mode, stares with ice-blue eyes, sounds off some barks and grumbles, and radiates “you are being judged’ energy! (Hasn't been around children) Her Trust Timeline- 3-5 days minimum for polite tolerance and taking treats from your hand. 5-10 days for her to look at you like you are becoming her world and her person. 10 + days and she will love you HARD and forever. Deal-Breakers- Sudden movements when you first meet her, trying to immediately pet her and crouching down to her eye level and staring at her. If you can give her 3-5 days of meet and greets, give her the patience she needs to trust, you will become a part of her world. The world she needs to feel safe, loved and calm. She will be your bodyguard, she will be your 70lb blanket when you are cold, she will be yours to love till the end. Yeti is around 9 months old, spayed, vaccinated, and on preventatives. She is a Great Pyrenees, Husky, GSD mix with ice-blue eyes. She is goofy, clumsy and loves other dogs. She is potty trained, loves to take long walks, and is currently working with a trainer at Take Flight in Cookeville, TN. We would love to find a home for her that is local and that will continue her training with Take Flight. Her first day with Chloe at Take Flight was a rough, bumpy one. After several days of spending time with her Yeti is now greeting Chloe with kisses. We will waive Yeti’s adoption fee of $150 for her potential adoptive family to take that money and continue classes with Chloe at Take Flight. Yeti deserves a great family like all other rescue pups. She only wants a home and to be loved!
