Story
Meet Elsa! Elsa is a 2- to 3-year-old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix with a heart as big as her beautiful smile. She’s a little smaller than your typical Pyrenees around 45-50 lbs, she’s just as full of love! Elsa was recently adopted but sadly returned because she has a habit of chewing. Chewing can be a tough habit, but with the right enrichment toys, puzzles, and plenty of exercise, it’s something she can absolutely work through. Our staff has already started helping Elsa with basic obedience training, and she’s making great progress! She’s up-to-date on all her vaccines, heartworm negative, and already spayed. Most of all, Elsa adores people and craves affection. She just needs someone willing to be a little patient and show her the way. Please don’t let her past define her future — Elsa is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving companion. If you’d like to meet this sweet girl, please apply today at petsaversshreveport.org  April 28, 2025, 9:59 pm

We foster our dogs in homes, not in shelters. This allows us to get to know the dogs’ temperaments to match them to a home. This also allows us to get the dogs ready to live in their forever homes! Story
Jess is a 2.5 year old fluff that loves her people! She has such a fun spirit! Jess likes to play, and wants to find someone who will give her the energy and time she deserves, or someone who has a furry friend to entertain her! She loves other dogs and older kids. She does not have much experience around young kids (under 4). She loves to snuggle and get loves. Our older dogs have a hard time with her because they do not want to play like she does. She also has had brief interactions with a cat and was fine. She is crate trained, potty trained, and knows all basic commands. She struggles with leash walking, but with the right training, I know she could get it down.
