Story
Meatball is a fun and energetic puppy that loves to play fetch (although he hasn't quite mastered returning the ball yet) and running around outside. He also enjoys playing tug-of-war with his rope toy and looking out the window for birds. Meatball is a gentle giant who loves a good cuddle and is very much a sound sleeper. He's a very good walker and gets excited to see anyone who passes by. He is definitely still learning and needs a lot of affection, but he always will return the love.

Story
If you are searching for a great family pet who has the most soulful brown eyes, look no further! This gentle sweet girl is the answer and her name is Glory. Glory adores and worships kids and wants nothing more than to be near them. Her best days are spent running along side them, sitting under their chair and laying next to them as they play. She is mellow, laid back and loves being at home with her people. Glory is potty trained, knows “sit, wait, potty and go in” (come inside or go into a room). Currently, she does not use a crate, but would  revert to it easily. She sleeps in a small room with a gate simply propped at the door. A harness is used when walking her and she needs to improve on not reacting to other dogs. Not one to play with toys much ( unless taunted by another dog to tug), she loves bones, treats and kongs. At times, Glory may try to leave the house without permission. Glory has lived in a house (and yard) with a variety of visiting dogs and a “ sister”. She has no experience with cats and the barking of small dogs makes her nervous. She should not be homed with small animals. If you are looking for your new best buddy, you have found her and she’s waiting to go home with you! Glory is up to date on vaccines, h2 negative and spayed. Apply at forrescue.net

Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Meet Bella! 🐾 Bella is a German Shepherd & Great Pyrenees mix, born on February 11, 2023 into rescue and still hasn't found her forever home! One of six survivors from a litter of twelve, Bella is now looking for her perfect forever home. Weighing approximately 80 lbs, Bella is smart, sweet, and full of energy. She’s a fast learner, highly food-motivated, and loves to go on walks and hikes. Like her siblings, Bella adores water—her favorite pastime is turning the water trough into her personal pool! Bella has a gentle soul, a calm demeanor, and walks beautifully on a leash. She would thrive in an active home that enjoys outdoor adventures. To keep her safe, we recommend a secure, 6-ft fenced yard. Ideal Home for Bella: 🏡 A family that enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor activities 🚫 No small children, small pets, or farm animals (she hasn’t been exposed and may have a chase instinct) 🐕 Bella enjoys playing with her siblings but should be fed separately from other animals, as she doesn’t like to share her food. Bella is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She’s also kennel and crate trained for quiet time. 📩 Interested in adopting Bella? Contact Hickman Humane Society at +1 (866) 304-3352 or fill out an adoption application here: 🔗 Adoption Application

Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old anyways 95 pounds. He was very thin when we first got him, but he’s looking great now. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.
