Story
Princess is a stunning 2-year-old Great Pyrenees with a strong, independent nature and a lot of potential in the right home. She came in with Luna, but we’ve been told she prefers to be the only animal, as she isn’t a fan of other dogs or cats. The shelter environment has her feeling pretty nervous right now, but with patience and understanding, her sweet side begins to show. Princess is the kind of dog who needs time to feel safe—but once she does, she has the ability to form a deep and meaningful bond. She would do best in a home where she can spend most of her time outdoors, as she isn’t used to indoor living. While she is a livestock breed, we were told she was kept on a lead while out on the property and was not actively guarding, so we’re unsure how she would do with livestock. Because of this, any introductions should be approached thoughtfully and with care. Princess also has a bit of an adventurous streak and may try to wander, so a very secure setup is essential to keep her safe. She’s looking for a confident, experienced owner who understands guardian breeds and is willing to give her the structure, space, and patience she needs to thrive. In the right environment, Princess has all the makings of a loyal, devoted companion who will truly shine once she feels at home.

Story
Hi, I’m Jonny. Life has been a little overwhelming for me so far, and I’m still learning that the world can be a safe place. I came in as a stray, and everything feels new and a bit scary. I’m not the kind of dog who will run up to greet you right away—but if you give me time, patience, and kindness, I’ll slowly start to trust. Extremely shy and sensitive Nervous in new environments and with unfamiliar people Quiet and observant—I prefer to take things at my own pace Once I feel safe, I have the potential to form a deep, loyal bond I may try to escape if I feel scared or unsure I need a calm, predictable environment to help me build confidence Sudden movements or loud situations can be overwhelming for me I’ll need a patient adopter committed to going slow Positive reinforcement and gentle routines will help me come out of my shell A securely fenced yard (tall fence required) is very important for my safety Children: Unknown (best in an adult-only or very calm home) Dogs: Unknown Cats: Unknown Helping a dog like me learn to trust is something really special. While I may not show it right away, I have the potential to become an incredibly devoted and meaningful companion to the person who gives me that

Story
At first glance, Yumi looks like a giant teddy bear—and honestly, she's pretty convinced she is one. This beautiful Saint Bernard has a heart as big as her paws and is searching for a special home that understands both her strengths and her challenges. Yumi came to us after being abandoned at her previous home. She has a rough history but once she trusts you, she'll happily become your oversized shadow, following you from room to room and soaking up every bit of affection you're willing to give. She would do best being the only animal in the home, but we are willing to give other large dogs a chance to meet her. She is not well socialized with people and will take time to adjust to any new environment. While toys aren't really her thing, she loves interacting with her people she trusts and is always ready for some zoomies. She's a smart cookie too, already knowing commands like sit, down, give paw, and sit pretty. Like many Saint Bernard's, she can be a little stubborn and likes to see if the rules are really rules, so she'll do best with a confident owner who can provide consistency and clear expectations. Yumi does have a history of food aggression/resource guarding around food, and her future family must be prepared to safely manage this behavior. Because of this, she is looking for an experienced owner who understands resource guarding and is committed to continuing her training and setting her up for success. She tends to bond more quickly with women, while men may need a little extra time and patience to earn her trust. Once she feels comfortable, however, her sweet and loyal personality shines through. Ongoing socialization will be important to help Yumi continue building confidence and good manners. Yumi is looking for a home that understands giant breeds, appreciates a dog with a little sass, and is willing to put in the time and effort she deserves. In return, she'll provide plenty of laughs, endless companionship, and enough love to fill a house. If you're looking for a giant best friend who will keep you company, make you smile with her goofy zoomies, and soak in the sun, Yumi might just be your perfect match.❤️🐾
