Story
Between May 1st and 15th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $50! Here's Zeke! Zeke is an 8-year-old, 63 lb. Rottweiler/Shepperd mix who loves making his people happy. Zeke acts like a golden retriever in in Rottweiler's body! Minus the shedding!! He is very loyal, loving, obedient, handsome, housetrained, and enjoys showing you the commands he has learned. Zeke enjoys walks, chew toys, playing with his foster siblings, taking naps and watching tv, on the couch, with his head on your lap. If you are looking for a best friend who is a great listener, Zeke may be your boy. He is being fostered with 3 other dogs and he LOVES them! Anyone Zeke has met so far - person or animal - he has gotten along swimmingly with. If you are looking for an older, sweet, well-behaved companion, Zeke will steal your heart! He is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $175.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Introducing Ruby! At 6.5 years and 70lbs, this Bernese Mountain dog is a glorious girl full of love to share with you. Ruby spent the first part of her life in a puppy mill, forced to reproduce and live in filthy conditions with minimal care. Despite the hardships she has faced, Ruby's affectionate personality truly sparkles. Her day is not complete without plentiful snuggles, which she demands over and over by leaning solidly against you. Ruby's advances are hard to resist - her soft, thick coat feels just like hugging a real live teddy bear! Ruby is a low-energy dog who enjoys the simple pleasures in life like rolling in grass and napping in the sun, and she is happiest with a human by her side. She loves going for walks and has amazing leash manners! Ruby is still learning what treats are, but thinks hot dogs are the best thing she's tasted so far. Stairs, dog beds, playing, and toys are all new concepts that Ruby is slowly learning. Like any good Berner, Ruby has a stubborn streak and will simply put on the brakes when faced with something she thinks she doesn't want or need to do. Training Ruby will likely take patience and persistence. Ruby doesn't always love getting into her crate, but once she's in Ruby hangs out there peacefully and quietly. Ruby is still working on house training, but is doing great with frequent potty breaks. Ruby is friendly with other people, children, and dogs but is a little too interested in cats. As a puppy mill survivor, Ruby was under socialized and is nervous with new people, places, and sounds. In unfamiliar situations this brave girl looks to her human for a few moments of reassurance. She quickly warms up once she realizes she is safe, and is demanding affection in no time. Who can resist those big brown eyes? Ruby is a truly special gem deserving of only the best that life has to offer. Apply today to welcome beautiful Ruby into your heart and home! Ruby is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Norris! Norris is a 6.5-month-old, 65-pound Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain dog/poodle). He is a sweet and playful puppy who is learning about being a pet after life in a puppy mill. He is doing great with his potty training and has not had any accidents in his foster home. He lives with a child, dog, and a cat and gets along with all (but doesn't understand why the cat won't play with him). If you are looking for a fun-loving and energetic friend, Norris may just be the perfect match. Norris is currently fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
