Story
Meet Runts! Once upon a time, in a world filled with wagging tails and squeaky toys, there was a little Rottweiler puppy named Runts who was just waiting for his happily-ever-after. At only 2.5 months old and about 12 pounds, this little guy may be small now, but he has a heart big enough for a whole kingdom! Runts absolutely adores people and other dogs and believes every new friend is simply a friend he hasn’t met yet. Give him a toy and he’s ready for an adventure—whether that means a rousing game of playtime or some silly puppy antics that are sure to make you smile. When the day’s adventures are over, Runts is already showing what a good little prince he can be. He does wonderfully in his puppy pen with potty pads and is even sleeping through the night! Like any young puppy, he’s still learning the ways of the world and will need continued patience and consistency as he works on potty training and leash skills. Sweet, playful, affectionate, and full of puppy magic, Runts is ready to find the family who will help him grow into his very own happily-ever-after. Could you be the one to write the next chapter of his story? Runts is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH, and his adoption fee is $400. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Missy! Must go to a home with NO other animals.  Missy LOVES people and kids, and everyone who meets her falls in love with her bubbly, affectionate personality. She is a very loving girl who is happiest spending time with her people. Missy is high energy and would thrive with an active family who can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. She loves her toys, enjoys carrying them around, and walks well on leash, although she can pull and is quite strong. She is mostly potty trained and may have a few accidents while learning a new routine. She can also get excited and jump up when greeting people, so she'll need someone willing to continue working on her manners. Missy has one very important requirement: she must be the only animal in the home. She is aggressive toward other dogs and small animals and cannot live with dogs, cats, or other pets. She must go to a home with a fully fenced, secure backyard that she cannot escape from and an active family who understands and respects her needs.  Missy is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, vaccinated, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. Her adoption fee is $300. Apply to adopt Missy at www.adoggie4you.org. Not eligible for transport out of Texas.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 3, 2026, 5:35 pm

Story
So, as you can see I am a BIG BIG GUY(130#)!!! Like the German Rotties, I have a BIG old HEAD and a propensity to protect my people....... I need just the right home, no other dogs please. I was not socialized with other dogs while growing up and am a big boy and so introducing to other dogs is a challenge for the rescuers and therefore we are looking for a single dog home. I am a very typical rottie and was kept as a protector of the property. I LOVE my people and honestly would love to be a lap dog, lol, but I also need a couple or single who is a strong leader, who really understands my breed and who will assure that I stay safe and others do as well. Now, I have a sweet and loving side, and my friends love that about me ;) But look at my face, without my toothy grin, and you know they understand that I am a serious guy :) I love my peeps and am ready for just the right place. I can only be adopted in TX and HAVE to be met and introduced and spend time with me before the rescue will approve my adoption. So only the strong need apply!! You will get an AMAZING and DEDICATED and EXTREMELY LOYAL DOG! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX only)

Story
The classic debate- left Twix versus right Twix... Either way, it'll be delicious!! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey. I was found when I was 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted for about a year but have, otherwise, spent my life in the rescue system. I'm now entering my golden years and have been overlooked for long enough! I have lived with many dogs in the past but, at my age, I prefer those that are lower energy and will live and let live. I would also be fine as the only dog. I am a generally lazy guy but I still have a stubborn streak and will assert myself if needed. I'm not a fan of smaller animals (cats, birds, etc.) unless we are talking about favorite snacks. In my foster home, I am an easy-going guy and the BIGGEST LOVER. I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my humans. They give the best back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I am also amazing on leash so walks are a breeze. My favorite way to get around though, is a ride in the car. I love nothing more than cruising around the neighborhood with the wind in my ears. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! Choose me and I will melt your heart like a Twix bar in the Texas sun. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! I am GhostBuster and I have a neat, sad and then happy story to tell you... So hang on for the ride!! But realize my NEXT BEST CHAPTER can include you!! In the sweltering heat I was blessed enough to CHOOSE the Post Office to hang out in. I was there for months, and no one could get me...and they tried but they deliver MAIL, not SAVE DOGS for a living..:) The Post Master knew about a local rescue, and they tried to help me too...then I was hit by a car and injured... AND I found a girlfriend and she was my lucky break, literally. The Police Department was finally able to save us and away we went to the rescue! My sweet girlfriend, Avian, was adopted before me, but I believe this is MY TIME!! Here is what my rescue friends describe me.."GhostBuster is always happy to see you, his eyes shine, tail wags, and his energy boosts whenever he sees his favorite people! He has the subtle markings of a Rottweiler or a Doberman and the temperament of a lab. He had an injured hip when saved but he has had surgery and has had his heartworms treated. During all this time he has started to know what a kind hand is like, some love, and real food! Now he can learn what a real family is :) Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Reyna — this queen is part Rottweiler, part athlete, part professional couch companion, and 100% good girl. Reyna is beautiful, low-shedding, crate trained, potty trained, and walks on a leash like she personally watched every episode of The Dog Whisperer. She loves running, hiking, swimming, fetch, and basically any activity preferred by those mysterious people who voluntarily do cardio when absolutely no one is chasing them. She’s great with kids and medium- to large-sized dogs. However, in true Rottie fashion, Reyna firmly believes squirrels, cats, and other tiny fast-moving creatures are highly suspicious and should be investigated at full speed. Because of this, a home without cats is a must. The squirrels, however, have been warned and remain fair game. After a full day — or at least a good walk and a game of fetch — this gal is more than happy to crash on the couch with her people for cuddles and a full-on Love Island binge session. Athletic, gorgeous… and emotionally available? Honestly, Reyna is setting unrealistic standards for the rest of us. Story
PLEASE NOTE: We are a Texas-based rescue. This dog is currently in Texas and will be transported to your state once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Kenny! Hi! I'm Kenny, an 18-month-old Doberman Pinscher/Catahoula mix with a heart as big as my goofy personality. If you're looking for a best friend who's always ready to play, learn, and cuddle, I think we might be the perfect match! Want to know the quickest way to my heart? Throw a ball! Seriously—I could chase one all day if you'd let me. And if you happen to have a treat, let me show you my signature move... I spin! I've perfected it, and I'm pretty sure it's impossible not to smile when you see it. I'm not just fun—I'm a gentleman, too. I'm crate trained, house trained, and I know how to be a respectful member of the family. I get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, so I'd fit right into just about any home. When playtime is over, I have one special request: scratch my forehead. That's my favorite spot, and I'll happily lean in for as many forehead rubs as you're willing to give. It's my favorite way to unwind after a day of adventures. I'm the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you're doing. Whether it's playing fetch in the backyard, going for walks, hanging out with the family, or relaxing at home, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. So, what do you think? If you're looking for a loyal, playful, well-mannered companion with a few fun tricks and a whole lot of love to give, I'd love to come home with you. I'll bring the toys—you bring the forehead scratches! 🐾💙

Story
Meet Fern! 💕🐾 Fern is a 4-year-old, 24-pound Bernedoodle who is the ultimate love bug! This sweet girl loves with her whole heart and wants to be wherever her people are. She’ll happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company, and if you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance she’ll want to be right beside you! Fern adores affection and loves belly rubs, ear scratches, cuddles, and being close to her people. She may even jump up to ask for some extra love or a tasty treat! She is very treat-motivated, and her sweet, affectionate personality makes her an easy girl to fall in love with. She has also recently started discovering how much fun toys can be. Fern is kind and gentle with children and has become a favorite friend to her foster family’s grandchildren. She also does wonderfully with other dogs and is comfortable around them. She has no fear of her canine friends and enjoys having them around. Fern is continuing to work on her potty training and does well when given a consistent routine. Her forever family will simply need to continue that consistency as she works toward being completely accident-free. She is also learning about leash walking. Leashes are still something that makes her nervous, so her family will need to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. She is comfortable walking short distances off leash in appropriate, secure areas. Fern is a girl who loves her people deeply, so she will thrive with a family who enjoys having a devoted companion by their side. She also appreciates a little guidance around mealtime because, naturally, she thinks whatever her people are eating should probably be shared! 😊 She responds well to a firm but gentle “no” and is happy to respect boundaries when they are consistently reinforced. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly couch companion who wants to be your shadow and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give, Fern could be your perfect match. She is ready to find a family who will continue showing her the world, give her plenty of love, and enjoy having a very devoted best friend by their side. ❤️ Fern is fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Finn is a 4.5-month-old, 20-pound, squishy-soft, mini-Bernedoodle who will wiggle his furry way right into your heart! Finn is an absolute bundle of joy that brings energy and happiness wherever he goes. He loves a good belly rub and enjoys playing with his toys. He gets along very well with our Bernedoodle and our cats. He is a very smart puppy and is nearly potty-trained. Finn readily goes to the bathroom outside and understands how to use his puppy pads inside, with only the occasional mistake. He has made a lot of progress with crate training, making it through the whole night without an accident. It took him some time to learn to eat out of a bowl, but he is now a great eater. Finn loves the outside, chasing his ball and exploring under the trees. Finn is neutered and up-to-date on his shots and his flea prevention. Because of his energy, he would thrive best in a house with a fenced-in backyard. This sweet little bundle of love would make a great addition to your home! Finn is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
