Story
We are moving to an apartment in Stockholm Sweden. One of the toughest parts of our move is that our family dog, ASTRO, isn’t going to like being in an apartment. We are looking for someone to foster him for about a year (or longer if the fit is right). Astro is house trained, never chews on things, can be left at home for up to 8 hours if you work. He is great with kids and people. He is a love bug with lots of personality. He is medium sized and about 45 lbs. His biggest challenge is that he is leash reactive when he see other dogs. Astro loves being outdoors like in the garden, on the beach or hiking. He is very good with recall and will never wanders off too far from you. He is good with other dogs: he has stayed with other dogs at my cousins when our family has traveled. Astro is easy to travel with in the car, he enjoys long trips in the car or just dropping off kids at school.

Story
Xavier is a big red fawn male greyhound and ready to add more to his 72 lbs. Xavier came from a racetrack on Jan. 9, 2023 and has 104 recorded races. He is happy, friendly, and playful. He has not been tested for cat or small animal compatibility. Xavier is neutered, had dental cleaning, and microchipped. He is ready to go to his forever home! UPDATE: Xavier was returned from a foster home because he was too puppy-like for a senior couple. He is now a big three year old and weighs 75 lbs. Xavier would do well in a home with a doggie door and a yard. Although he is great with other greyhounds, he want the company of people and be part of a family. A positive dog obedience training course and experienced greyhound adopters would be ideal for this affectionate boy.

Story
Breeann is a 3 ½ yr. old, 62 pound, white with dark brindle and ticking female greyhound. She came from a racetrack on February 17, 2023 with 170 recorded races. Breeann went to a foster home for two months where she enjoyed a leisure life, pleasures of many dog beds, a yard, walks on trails around a lake, and romps with other dogs. Unfortunately, she had a few seizures probably due to trauma at the track after her last race or other unknown reasons. She was returned to Operation Greyhound. Now we think with a change of medicine the seizures are under control. This sweet, gentle girl could now go to a forever home. A small dog could be a suitable companion for her. Breeann has an especially gentle, lovable, and sweet disposition. Her unusual soft coat is a therapy for all who touch her. UPDATE: Breeann is doing well here since her return from a foster home on May 5th. She has not had any seizures since our vet has increased her med dosage. Breeann was our Greyhound Godchild of the Month for May and had only one adoption inquiry. Hoping for more inquiries for this very sweet girl.
