After a successful racing career of 109 races—including 22 wins and 18 second-place finishes—Bailey embraced motherhood, raising her puppies with the same loving heart she now shares with everyone she meets. Now, at 6 years old, this beautiful girl is ready for the best chapter yet: finding her forever family.
Bailey is the kind of greyhound who makes you smile the moment you meet her. Her tail is almost always wagging, and she happily greets everyone with a sweet, friendly personality. She has settled beautifully into home life, proving herself to be a wonderful companion from day one.
She is completely housebroken with impeccable manners and has had no accidents. Bailey enjoys spending time in a fenced yard and knows exactly when she's ready to come back inside. She is quiet, rarely barks, and sleeps peacefully with her greyhound friends each night. If she needs to go outside overnight, she'll politely wake her person with a gentle nudge—never demanding, just asking nicely.
Bailey has lived happily with other greyhounds and gets along well with small dogs, too. She has a confident personality and may like to be the boss now and then, but she's never pushy or difficult. Having spent years in the kennel environment, she's learned to be independent while still being incredibly affectionate with her family.
Children are welcome in Bailey's world, and she has done well around little ones. One thing her future family should know is that Bailey has a very strong prey drive. Squirrels are simply too tempting to ignore, and cats are not a good match for her. Because of this, she'll need a securely fenced yard and careful handling on walks.
Like many dogs, thunderstorms make Bailey nervous, and fireworks can become overwhelming if they last a long time. She has responded well to calming supplements during stormy weather and appreciates a family that will help her feel safe when Mother Nature gets loud.
Bailey is an easy keeper who enjoys her meals—especially when breakfast includes a little vanilla yogurt and dinner is topped with pumpkin. It's the simple things that make her happy.
Her foster family says the most remarkable thing about Bailey is how effortlessly she became part of their home. She accepted her new family without missing a beat, fitting in as though she'd always belonged. That's just who Bailey is—a sweet, loving girl with a heart as big as her beautiful smile.
