Story
Hi! I’m Chase! My foster mom calls me a happy little man, and I think that’s because I have this work-life balance thing figured out. I take my foster family for a walk every morning, I play with toys—I have a giggling monkey that I love to carry around! I love to race around the backyard—sometimes my foster sister runs with me. I’m pretty fast, but occasionally I let her beat me since she’s the boss around here. I also find it fun to re-arrange the dog beds—they’re like great big fluffy toys! Sometimes my foster parents don’t agree with my decorating, but they just don’t understand canine Feng Shui! You’re probably wondering about the “work” part of the work-life balance…I’m a really good office assistant! I nap on my bed in foster mom’s office in case she needs my input or advice. If my work-life balance sounds like a fit for yours, I would love to be your forever pup!        Please note our maximum adoption area is typically 3 hours from Kansas City. Story
Jasper   If you’re looking for a sweet boy who loves to lean to show his affection, I’m your guy.  My tail is always wagging and my infectious smile will win you over in no time.  I have the softest coat, a beautiful red brindle.  I haven’t met a human I don’t love,  I prefer to socialize with dogs my own size or larger and I’m not a fan of cats.  I’m loving all of the amenities retirement has to offer:  A soft bed to sleep on, yummy treats, and all the attention I can soak up.  I’m learning to walk on a leash, up and down steps, and come inside when called.  I’m told I’m treat motivated, and supposedly that’s a good thing!  I am kind and gentle with my foster sister.  She’s teaching me all the house rules and my humans say I’m a very quick learner.  If this sounds good to you, I would love to meet you and see if we have a future together.      We adopt within 3 hours of Kansas CitySeptember 25, 2023, 2:54 pm

Story
Hi guys ... Jack here!  The dogtors say that I'm probably two years old and I weigh a whopping 48 pounds.  My foster family thinks that I'm just the best boy ever, and I agree because I already know how to sit, lay down, and shake paws...yip, I'm a quick study for sure.   My foster dad says that I'm just a little loverboy greyhound that wants to be a lap doggo!  And, I think that I'm just a lil guy that loves life...to the fullest!           I have two big greyhound foster brothers that are showing me the ropes and one little fiesty foster brother that keeps nipping at me, but I'm okay with that.  I'm loving early morning pack walks and exploring the fenced back yard but I absolutely love chasing squirrels ... oh, and trotting around the house with my squeakies.  I'm working to improve my counter surfing and jumping; however, I keep seeing that water bottle squirt- thing whenever I do those bad things, so I'm getting much, much better.     If you're needing a whole lotta love and some cuddles too, I could definately be your little lovebug.   We adopt within 3 hours of KCSeptember 25, 2023, 2:54 pm

Story
Part Irish Wolfhound part greyhound and 100% loving.  Bebe is a 5 year old girl who is the best of both breeds.  She’s quite a bit smaller than a wolfhound, but a bit larger than your normal greyhound. She’s got long blond hair with whiter highlights and gray/green eyes.  Wow right….thats what my foster Mom tells me people say when they see me and I am low-shedding like a wolfhound. I’m not just a pretty face, I want my forever family to love me for me, for both my insides and my outside. I love to sit or lay on the couch with you and I literally want you to hold my paw.  I love stuffies that squeak, I throw them up in he air and catch them, I can catch treats too!  I love rides in the car, that is really one of my favorite things.  Mom says I'm beautiful, silly and super sweet. I am very shy at first but if you will be patient with me you’ll see me bloom onto this lovable, so happy you are home kinda girl.  I will need a home without cats but I can live with other dogs just fine.  I do like to walk when it’s cooler outside and when there’s not too much traffic, parks are a great place for a walk.   I'm nervous at first walking in a new neighborhood but the longer we walk together the more relaxed I become. I’m not sure I’ll get used to motorcycles though …. ever.   Do I sound like the kind of girl you can give your heart to?  I’ll be waiting.   We adopt within 3 hours of Kansas City.September 25, 2023, 2:54 pm

Story
My name is Autumn.  I’m a petite girl with delicate features and soft, sleek red fur.  My foster parents say I have a mane on the back of my neck that looks a mohawk: Très chic!     I enjoy meeting other dogs and also like making new human friends. When I go outside to potty, I sometimes like to do a few zoomies around the backyard; now that I’m getting the hang of walking on a leash, I also appreciate a leisurely stroll in the neighborhood. But my favorite activity is just hanging out with my foster parents and foster dog brother. That said, I’m quite content keeping my own company, and can happily spend time by myself daydreaming and snoozing from the comfort of a soft bed.  Autumn can be a little cautious when she encounters people and events that are new to her. With exposure and experience she overcomes her initial caution and shows her true colors.    I don’t know exactly what the word “habits” means, but my foster parents say they haven’t seen me show any bad ones. They describe me as beautiful, sweet, quiet, well-mannered, gentle, loving, and eager to please.  Are these qualities you’re looking for in a canine companion? If so, perhaps we should meet and see if we truly have a match made in heaven.   We adopt within 3 hours of Kansas City.September 25, 2023, 2:54 pm
