Hello Hoomans! My name is Willow and I am a female, 41 lb., tan, yellow and fawn colored greyhound mix who is ready to find my new forever home. I am an 9-month-old, playful puppy ready to be your beautiful and elegant playtime friend. I love other dogs and children and playing tug of war with my rope toy. I am not only terribly beautiful, but really smart as well. I already know how to sit on command (well, most of the time anyway), but with your patience and training, I can learn all sorts of other tricks as well. I had a nice home before I came to Golden Paws Animal Rescue that I loved, but I had to leave because my owner was unable to take care of me any longer. The people here told me that I hadn’t done anything wrong. Actually, I think I’m one of their favorites. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up to folks. When I do, it’s playtime, with lots of zoomies and fun. Maybe you and I can even run some races together. But don’t count on winning (I’m a greyhound, for Pete’s sake.) So, if you are ready for an energetic, fun-loving puppy and can give me stability and affection, fill out an application, and come on into Golden Paws Animal Rescue in Joplin to visit me. I have been spayed; I’ve had all my shots, and I’m ready to go. I promise to keep you smiling. Let’s get things rolling and build a wonderful life together. I am looking forward to meeting you! Story
Cooper is our 10 year old black lab/greyhound mix boy we've had since 6 months old. He is the sweetest boy to any adult that he knows and trusts. He absolutely loves his walks and car rides and just wants to be next to his people. Due to recent aggression towards other pets, we can no longer provide the care he deserves. He's never been aggressive towards children, we just don't trust him with them at this time. The decision to rehome has been difficult and finding the right home is highest priority. Cooper would do best with someone who can provide patience and companionship to enjoy the rest of his senior years. A calm home without children would be ideal and he MUST be the only pet for both his and his new owners safety. If you think you might be the right match, please tell me a little about yourself, your home, any other pets, and your experience with dogs. I want to make sure Cooper is in the best care. Thank you for your consideration.
