Crackerjack is a retired field trial racing greyhound Crackerjack, aka Jack, is 7 years old and was born 10/18/2018. He weighs 55 pounds . This handsome brindle guy is a tail wagging boy who loves loves people. He likes to keep his kennel clean, so housebreaking should be easy. He loves toys! He loves people! He likes to dig, so he can bury his toys - or maybe he is just bored with being at the kennel so long! He has decided that he DOES like some other big, calmer hounds. He is fully vetted. He is currently boarding at the Celina Pet Center. Crackerjack will need a fenced in yard so he can run and get his sunbathing in. No kitties or small dogs for this handsome boy. Jessie joined the American Lurcher Project a few weeks ago. A stunningly handsome black boy! Jessie is a retired field trial racing greyhound who is now ready for his retirement couch and a loving family. Jessie, aka Lock Down, is 6 years young and loves being petted. Jessie was born 12/25/2018 and weighs 65 pounds. Jessie's youth makes him interested in everything. This included the cement dog outside the Pet Center. He is very involved and wants to know what or why an item is setting here! Jessie will need a fenced in yard so he can run and play! Jessie's sister Kit retired 8/10/2023 and his other sister Buffy retired 2/5/2023. Jessie will make a fun and awesome pet for some lucky family. AmericanLurcherProject@gmail.com. Handsome Drew joined the ALP team in June. This super sweet boy will be 6 years old this fall. He was born October 1, 2019. He has a lot of gray/blue color mixed in the hair on his back. You can see blue color behind his ears, on the top of his head and on his face. He is a dog full of pure joy who loves to play with toys. He will capture your heart in a heartbeat. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, has had a dental. All of our dogs are microchipped and on Heartworm prevention. This boy will need a fenced in yard to run and play. This handsome black boy does have the best acrobatic tail and fabulous ears that pretty much communicate his enthusiasm and/or his relaxed demeanor. Smokee turned five years young in January and weighs 62 pounds. He's a patient guy ready to de-stuff a stuffie in his own yard asap! He is does well at meeting other dogs near his size. He is not workable with cats or most likely with small fluffy dogs. Smokee just needs that person who loves a silly, fun guy to give him his forever bed. Pretty sure this boy will go with any "flow" that you want! He loves meeting all humans. He is particularly fond of and balls and is good meeting other dogs his size. He has a zest for life and is very curious about everything he sees. He will make a wonderful pet. Smokee is neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Hi! My name is Redford and I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born as an only child in June of 2023 which means I am 2 1/2 years old. I am a very sweet and fun loving guy. I love to play with toys and found out that the plastic bag I stole when they were photographing me was a very fun thing to grab and play with. I kept darting back and forth to keep it away from them, but then somebody threw my next favorite toy and off I was to grab it. I think they tricked me! I was a field trial racer but I decided I only needed to run part of the race and then go back to my handler. I guess that is not what I was supposed to do. I am fast and I love to play but just didn't want to race so I retired early at just two years old. My best qualities besides my great personality and my very nice leash walking skills are by dark brown eyes and striking reddish gold coat. I am a very friendly and happy boy. I like to come up to you and lean on you for a few seconds and get some love then I am off to play with my toys. They kept telling me how handsome I am and I liked that. What do you think? My only vice that I can see is that I think cats are evil and cannot be around them. I guess that's not uncommon in Greyhound Lurchers though. ***Redford needs a fenced in yard***.
