Ideal Home/Adopter: Griffin would love an active adopter that will take him for walks, hikes or adventures. Griffin needs a fenced yard to run around and get his zoomies out. We're really hoping to find Griffin a home with another active, playful dog. Griffin loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playmate who wants to wrestle and roughhouse just as much as he does. Griffin currently goes for 2-3 walks a day. He may only need 1-2 walks if he has an active dog sibling to play with throughout the day.
Likes: Food, treats, toys, bones. Griffin loves splashing around in the baby pool and it's absolutely hilarious! He is a huge fan of walks. The more the better. He'll even grab his own leash and bring it to you when he's "due" for a walk. Griffin is very, very food motivated. Griffin likes to be with his people, dog siblings and wants to be engaged in what's going on around him.
Dislikes: Griffin doesn't have a lot of dislikes per se, but Griffin has a lot of energy, so if anything prevents him from getting his energy out he struggles.
What makes this dog special: Griffin is a really sweet boy and he's a lot of fun! He's a giant goofball, very entertaining and has a big personality. He plays hard and he loves hard!
Back Story: Griffin was picked up as a stray and taken to a rural shelter. His foster noticed that Griffin looked a lot like their current two fosters, Meg and Peter, who were in the process of being adopted. Griffin was taken to the same shelter that Meg and Peter came from and Griffin came to Rescuedohio a few days later, after Meg and Peter were adopted. Griffin's foster was able to confirm via DNA test that Griffin is Meg and Peter's sibling! We're not sure where Griffin had been or what his living situation was, but we are so happy to have him here with Rescuedohio!
Adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and the dog will be current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative.
