Story
Austin, TX. We need to rehome this beautiful greyhound/Shepherd mix. Six years old, loves to play and run. Loving and healthy - approx. 80 pounds. All shots current and no health issues. Unfortunately we are moving into a small apartment and cannot take him with us. His name is Jake. He is microchipped and has all current shots , a dog bed , collar, etc. He would be best fit for someone who has a yard for him to run in and play with other dogs. Loves to go on walks and not aggressive. We are moving in June , so it is important that we need to do this ASAP

Story
Banana Cream is a gentle, easygoing sweetheart with impeccable house manners and a heart as soft as his favorite stuffed toy. He’s the kind of dog who settles seamlessly into a home—calm, affectionate, and wonderfully well behaved. This handsome guy is fully potty trained, non-destructive, and can comfortably be left home alone all day. Most of the time, he’s perfectly content snoozing, lounging in the backyard, or quietly relaxing around the house. Banana Cream absolutely loves people. Whether it’s friends stopping by, dinner guests, or an entire book club gathering, he greets everyone with happy excitement and a toy proudly carried in his mouth. Despite his enthusiasm, he’s incredibly polite and never jumps on people. After saying hello, he’s happy to settle back down nearby and soak up the company. He also enjoys the companionship of other respectful dogs and currently lives happily with two canine friends, often cuddling up and sharing beds with them. He would do best with calm, friendly dogs who respect his space. Banana Cream is also an excellent car companion. He happily hops in, curls up after a few minutes, and calmly rides along—even with another dog in the backseat. Whether he’s lounging in a sunny spot, flopping dramatically on the couch mid-nap, or proudly delivering his favorite stuffie to visitors, Banana Cream brings a peaceful, lovable presence wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion with a goofy side and lots of love to give, Banana Cream may just be your perfect match.

Story
We are looking to rehome our 4 year old dog, StellaLuna. She was rescued in 2023 and had quite a bit of trauma when we found her. She was starved, so she becomes aggressive towards other dogs around food. Up until this last week, separating her and our other dog during meals had kept this behavior from growing, but Thursday evening she severely attacked our other dog without warning. Our other dog is alive, but acquired several injuries. We are also about to have another baby, and are nervous this behavior could continue towards her. She is a very loving and sweet dog to her humans, and has done wonderfully with our other 2 children (6 and 8), but as a precaution, she really needs to be in a home that does not have other animals or toddler sized children. She is fully vaccinated but not spayed. We are asking for a rehoming fee of $50 in order to assure she goes to a loving home.

Story
Meet Olympia, a pint-sized princess with a heart of gold! This sweet, soulful young lady's main objective in life is to give her loved ones lots of love, kisses, and cuddles. While we don't know her exact breed, she looks to be a mix of miniature pinscher and Italian greyhound, while her personality characteristics strongly favor the Italian greyhound -- loyal, affectionate, intelligent, calm, and gentle. Olympia may be shy and submissive when first meeting new people, though she learns to trust quickly and becomes a loyal companion and cuddlebug to both human and four-legged friends. One of her favorite pastimes is simply lounging -- you'll likely find her on a couch, burrowed in a blanket, or laying in the grass or on the patio soaking up the sun. She doesn't require a lot of exercise or playtime, but she has grown to love a good walk around the neighborhood! Overall Olympia is a quiet gal, though her foster mom reports she'll give "girly grumbles" when she wants attention or is ready for her dinner. She's food motivated and eager to please. All Olympia needs love and attention, so she would be great in any apartment or home setting. Interested in making her a part of your family? Olympia is being fostered in the Austin area and ready for meet and greets! *Her adoption fee is $200 if adopted in the Austin, TX area, if transported, the fee would be $400.* If you want to meet Olympia please fill out our application. https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-fosteraround the neighborhood. 💕

Story
Meet Lilly – Your Gentle, Loyal Shadow 💕Lilly will be looking for a new foster home beginning in June 2026. We have absolutely loved fostering her, and this sweet girl has a very special place in our hearts. Unfortunately, we’ll be moving and can’t bring her with us — so we’re hoping to find her next safe, loving landing spot.Lilly is a shy girl at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines. She bonds deeply with her people and absolutely adores cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to you. One of her favorite things is curling up next to you after a nice walk or ride in the car (yes — she loves car rides!).She gains confidence from other dogs and truly blossoms in a home with canine companions. When she sees dogs she trusts being brave and happy, she quickly follows their lead. Because she spent much of her puppyhood in the shelter, having a confident dog friend helps her feel that the world is safe and fun. She has never shown any aggression toward dogs or people — she may bark occasionally when unsure, but it’s just her way of saying she needs a moment to feel comfortable.Lilly is mostly housebroken. She prefers going outside to potty but will use puppy pads overnight if needed. She is crate trained and does well when crated, though she may need a little time to adjust in a new environment. For her comfort and safety, she should be crated or contained when left alone, and she does best when not left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time. Her exercise needs are moderate — a fenced backyard or a couple of daily walks will keep her happy and healthy. She also loves treats and chew toys, which are great ways to bond with her. She loves playing fetch, so long as it isn't with a tennis ball.Lilly’s ideal foster is patient, kind, and willing to let her open up at her own pace. In return, you’ll get to watch a shy little heart grow into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. We would love to arrange at least one meet-and-greet with Lilly, our dogs, and her new foster before the transition to help her feel as comfortable as possible. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving dog who just needs a little reassurance to shine, Lilly may be your girl. 💗 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 37 Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks
