Story
Tiki puts the grey in Greyhound. Her stunning pearlescent blue coat turns heads everywhere she goes, and trust me, she knows how to make an entrance.
Her morning routine is non-negotiable: a minimum of five full-body stretches before shes ready to start the day. After that, shes happy to greet every person she meets. In fact, if someone walks past without saying hello, she looks personally offended. She absolutely adores people of all ages and soaks up attention like its her full-time job.
Shes the definition of an easy companion.
Shes completely house trained with no accidents, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, waits patiently for meals and potty breaks, and never begs at the table.
Shes food motivated, picks up new commands quickly, and is an absolute dream to walk. Whether on or off leash around other dogs, she is social, polite, and loves making friends.
At home, shes mostly a professional couch potato with the occasional zoomie to remind you shes still athletic.
She would enjoy an active family or a home with a yard, but shes proven that apartment life suits her just fine too. Shes calm, respectful of the house, and not destructive in the slightest.
Cats? She has been wonderfully respectful of mine. Shes also learning that bunnies and squirrels are friends... although shes still deciding exactly what on earth a raccoon is.
One of her favorite forms of affection is the famous greyhound lean. Shell gently melt into your legs until you're convinced You've never met a sweeter dog. Shes also a professional head hugger, has the softest butter-smooth coat you'll ever touch, and seems genuinely aware of her size. She doesn't climb into your lap or bowl people over. Shes simply gentle, thoughtful, and happy to be by your side.
She bonds quickly and deeply with her person. She'd love a home where someone is around much of the day or where she has a canine companion, but shes perfectly content just sharing the same room with you. She doesn't need to be glued to your side. She just likes knowing her favorite human is nearby.
The only downside? Be prepared to answer the same question over and over on walks: Wow... what kind of dog is she? Walking her is a little like walking with a celebrity. Between her striking blue coat and sweet personality, she attracts admirers everywhere she goes.
