Story
Foster Mia is a thoughtful little soul who takes her time getting to know new people, but once she decides you’re safe, her sweetness shines. She’s lived in a home before and even with cats, so she understands the rhythm of family life. Mia has a fun, playful streak that comes out once she’s comfortable — she’ll happily chase after toys and enjoys a good burst of silliness. She may start off cautious, but she truly loves to play and connect once she feels secure. She’s the kind of girl who blossoms with patience, kindness, and a calm environment. Give her a little time, and she’ll give you her whole heart. Western Washington

Meet Vera — Your New Best Friend If you're looking for a dog with a heart as big as her smile, Vera may just be the one you've been waiting for. She is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people, and her calm, gentle nature makes everyone who meets her fall in love. One of Vera’s most endearing traits is her adorable little "tippy-tappy" walk that will brighten your day. She’s wonderfully well-mannered, patiently sitting while her leash is clipped on and strolling right by your side with an easy, relaxed pace. Vera takes life’s little surprises in stride, handling new places and experiences with quiet confidence and grace. She isn’t demanding—she’s simply happiest being with the people she loves. Most of all, Vera is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. Story
Cruise is a handsome 5-year-old red brindle Greyhound making his way from Australia and looking for a family ready to enjoy life with a happy, fun-loving boy! Cruise is friendly, outgoing, confident, and full of personality. He has a goofy, playful side and loves interacting with people. He’s the kind of dog who brings some enthusiasm to everything he does—and once he’s had a chance to get his wiggles out, he’s shown that he can settle down nicely and relax. This handsome guy is also very food motivated, which should make training both fun and rewarding. He enjoys enrichment activities and has shown that he can entertain himself and settle independently. Cruise can get very excited when he sees other dogs, so he’ll do best with someone who can give him consistent structure, guidance, and help him learn that he doesn’t have to greet the whole world at once. He’s a strong boy with plenty of enthusiasm, but underneath all that energy is an affectionate, playful Greyhound who really enjoys being with his people. With regular exercise, enrichment, and continued training, we think Cruise has all the ingredients to become a wonderful companion. His assessment describes a dog with the ability to settle and relax once his needs are met—and a whole lot of potential.

Story
Foster Home or adopter Needed Soli — 4‑year‑old lovable girl Soli is a quietly affectionate girl who bonds quickly and deeply with her people. She loves gentle attention, especially a good bum scratch, and she has a sweet way of leaning in. She hasn’t quite learned the joy of playing yet, but she’s thoughtful, calm, and easy to have around. Soli isn’t overly interested in other dogs; she prefers her humans and keeps interactions simple and polite. She would thrive with a home that can offer companionship, gentle structure, and some alone training as she settles in. A friendly canine buddy could suit her. Soli is ready for a person who wants a sweet, loyal companion who gives her heart freely. Western Washington

Story
Welcome Monica to CCPAL Rescue. Monica is a 2 year old Flat Coated Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound is our best guess. She is a mix of breeds we are sure. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the street big and pregnant. Her pups all look very different. Some are fluffy and some are not. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a crate and good on a leash. She is also nice in her kennel and was the very best and most attentive momma. She isn’t very vocal which is wonderful and would make an easy dog to bring into some family. She has weaned her pups and will be spayed soon and ready for her very own forever home. She does her business outside on a leash and she is just the most wonderful dog. Some dogs are easy in Rescue and she is one of those dogs. She is in Texas with the CCPAL Rescue. She would be a great walking or jogging companion due to her long legs. She is a moderate to low shedding dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video
