Story
I adopted Buddy about two years ago before my daughter went to college. At the shelter where we adopted him he was very calm, sitting patiently in his pen. We were looking for a low energy dog as I am getting older and mobility is an issue. About three days after we adopted him he was in the hospital in intensive care with a significant respiratory illness, that is why he was low energy. Since getting healthy he is not the couch potato i was looking for. His activity level is average but just not what I can do. I think he would be much happier in a household with children and just more going on. He’s a very good boy very food motivated and very sweet. I want the best life for him.He loves to play with other dogs but his brother is an old man who just sleeps. He would love a play mate! I have had him around little kids so I can’t confidently say he’s great with them. However he has never been aggressive at all with anything or anyone . He is also not a barley dog. Story
Meet Chopper! If you're looking for a fun-loving best friend with endless enthusiasm and a heart full of love, Chopper may be the perfect match for you! At just 9 months old, Chopper is a handsome 30-pound brown Terrier mix with adorable, oversized ears that are impossible to resist. His mom is a Beagle/Pit Bull Terrier mix, and he inherited the best qualities of both breeds—intelligence, loyalty, affection, and a playful spirit. Chopper is an energetic young pup who thrives on attention and interaction. He loves spending time with his people and is happiest when he's playing a game of chase, engaging in a lively tug-of-war match with his favorite pull toys, or simply soaking up affection. Because of his active nature, Chopper needs a family that has the time and commitment to provide him with plenty of exercise, playtime, and companionship. This sweet boy is very affectionate and loves being part of the action. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine playmate. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. A securely fenced yard is a must for Chopper so he can safely run, play, and burn off some of that puppy energy. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling and active, Chopper is waiting to meet you! Date of birth: 09-21-25
