Story
Haba has one simple wish—to be someone's lap dog. Beneath her timid exterior is a sweet, loving girl who longs for the comfort and security of being close to her person. Life has been a little scary for Haba, and she's still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. She'll need a patient, understanding family who will let her build trust at her own pace and celebrate each small victory along the way. Pushing her isn't the answer—giving her the time and space she needs is. - Adult Only Home Preferred - Single Dog Home Preferred As Haba's confidence grows, so does her affectionate personality. There's nothing she loves more than curling up beside someone she trusts, soaking in the love she's always deserved. Story
Hi! My name is Bunny. I am a spayed, microchipped, 3.5 years old, 16 lbs. JackABee (Jack Russell/Beagle). I am the ultimate cuddle buddy looking for a peaceful home with a fenced-in yard because I love to run and play! Here are a few more fun facts about me...I am house-trained, extremely affectionate, have lots of energy for playtime, and I love to learn new commands/tricks… especially if you use treats and food as rewards. Some of my favorite things to do are zoomies in the yard, followed-up by naps in the sunbeams through the window. And I love to sniff everything. When you pet me or rub my tummy at night, I purr like a kitten and coo like a happy baby. I also love to burrow in anything soft and fluffy, peeking out occasionally to see if you are close by. My trainer, Brandi, (PETS Pet Enrichment and Training Solutions, LLC), is training me not to be afraid of dogs and people. I can be a little bit nervous at first when I meet new people, but I typically warm up quickly and become your best friend. I haven’t been around dogs or people very much so my foster mom is helping me learn to socialize. When I’m scared, I bark. I do not bite. I am looking for someone I can trust to give me guidance and help me feel safe, secure, and protected. Brandi is also helping me with my fear of thunderstorms. I listen to Youtube recordings of thunderstorms paired with some of my favorite activities such as playing with my toys, chasing after treats, and sometimes while I am eating. I've already noticed that it has been helping to lessen my fear! I need to let you know that I plié when I stand on my left leg, (the vet believes I may have broken it when I was younger) but I promise when you see me do my zoomies, you will notice that it doesn’t slow me down at all! I am in search of someone who will let me show them how extremely intelligent and incredibly affectionate I am, and will give me coaching and guidance so I can trust them and feel protected. I want to be forever part of your family.
