Story
Lisa has mastered the art of soft entry. Emotionally, she eases into your life with this calm, gentle presence that somehow feels familiar almost immediately. Lisa came to Fluff Animal Rescue after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She arrived with Mona, believed to be her mother, and while the two girls get along beautifully, Lisa does not need to be adopted as part of a pair. At approximately 5 years old, Lisa has that perfect middle-ground energy. She’s playful and interactive without acting like she drank four espresso shots before breakfast. In the studio, she was affectionate, engaged, social, and refreshingly balanced. Despite the paperwork saying Basset Hound/Beagle mix, Lisa feels much more like a Bassett/Lab blend. Story
There’s something deeply comforting about Mona. Maybe it’s the low-rider Bassett body paired with the sweet Labrador energy. Maybe it’s the soulful expression that makes her look like she already knows all your secrets and has decided not to judge you for any of them. Mona came to Fluff Animal Rescue after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She arrived with Lisa, believed to be her daughter, and while they genuinely enjoy each other’s company, Mona is emotionally secure enough to fly solo. At approximately 8 years old, Mona has that beautiful balance that comes with maturity. She’s playful without being chaotic, affectionate without being clingy, and wonderfully easy to live with. In the studio, Mona was sweet, interactive, playful, and calm all at once. The kind of dog who checks in with you during the chaos instead of contributing to it. Despite the paperwork saying Basset Hound/Beagle mix, Mona feels much more like a Bassett/Lab blend. And according to her foster, she skipped the beagle “full-volume screaming into the void” package entirely. She’s not looking for adventure sports. She’s looking for connection.
