Story
We’ve learned a lot about Spot (aka Boone) over the Holidays.*To him, cats = big squirrels = hunt*Children = I like them, they do tend to spook me more than adults (loud or rushed movements), but that just means I retreat and have to warm back up.*Car rides are a breeze (up to 2.5 hrs tested), *IF* he’s buckled in rather than crated. We are still welcoming all tricks for separation anxiety, though we had a major success, we have not yet been able to fully replicate it. Truly seems to be about the only snag behaviorally. He’s polite, playful, no aggression to humans with lots of exposure, minds variable house rules well, and can be chill or active depending on the vibe of the day/person. **New Year, New Me — Spot’s 2025 Pupdate!** Hi friends! I’m **Spot**, (AKA Boone) ringing in the New Year with a tail wag and a fresh pupdate I settled into my new place *fast*—like, faster-than-you-can-open-a-treat-bag fast. My food giver works from home, which is perfect because I’m not a fan of alone time (not even a little). On the rare times he heads out, I’ve started a new anxiety medicine and it’s helping me feel much more at ease. New year, calmer vibes Here’s how I’m spending my days: Daily sniffari patrols of the neighborhood (especially *my* very important log) Competitive-level squeaky ball destruction Professional couch lounging, especially when it’s rainyBig milestone to celebrate: **zero indoor accidents**. Not once. A New Year miracle if there ever was one Social updates: I’ve been introduced to a couple of dogs and did well! We’ve learned that slow, on-leash walks are the key—and sometimes it takes two tries. With people, I’m a bit timid at first, but I warm up quickly and then I’m all about the attention.Quick stats for the record: Around **10 months old** **35 pounds** of New Year’s joyAll in all, life is feeling pretty great, and I’m excited to see what 2025 brings. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a couch to guard and a squeaky ball that absolutely will not defeat itself.
