You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Charlotte — a true gem of a dog and the ultimate couch-potato cuddle bug! At around 2 years old and 47 lbs, Charlotte is the perfect blend of calm, sweet, and low-maintenance. She came to us pregnant, lovingly raised her puppies, and now that they’re weaned and she’s been fully cleared by our vet, Charlotte is finally ready for a family of her own. Charlotte enjoys short bursts of play but is mostly happiest curled up next to you on the couch or perched by a window watching the birds. She’s potty trained, leash trained, and is working on her crate skills. She does fine when she can see other dogs, but being crated away from them stresses her — she tends to lean on other dogs for comfort when her people aren’t home. She is very dog-friendly and would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship. As an only dog, her foster could see her potentially developing separation anxiety, simply because she finds so much comfort in canine friends. Charlotte hasn’t lived with children, but she’s incredibly chill and non-reactive, even when her foster gently tested ears and tail handling. She could do well with respectful kids. She does have a high prey drive when it comes to squirrels, birds, and critters, so she’s not a good fit for a home with cats. If you’re looking for an easy, affectionate, low-maintenance companion who wants nothing more than to be near her people, Charlotte will be an incredible match. She’s a loyal, loving girl who will make someone very, very lucky.
