Story
Hello, I'm Jan. I was rescued from the street as a kitten. I'm a 2 y/o, vaccinated, litter-trained, and spayed. I love to play and take long naps in my cat tree. I have a lot of friends, but I prefer my time alone and be the only Queen! I'm a little bit shy at first meeting people, but you can change that with food and a lot of cuddles. I am good with cats and small dogs. I eat wet/dry food combo, treats, and special meals such as “cooked breast chicken or turkey” mixed with my blended veggies because my foster mom spoils me. I'd eat homemade food, but I could be adapted to other foods slowly to prevent “gastrointestinal upset”. I found Jan as a little three weeks old kitty on my porch. Her mom and sibling were adopted, but she is still waiting for her forever home :( Jan likes to wander a lot and loves treats. She also likes to watch birds through the window and play with mice toys. Jan is an inside cat and strict about the cleanness of her litter box**

Story
Tawny and her sister Sookie were my dad's cats - he has moved into a new assisted living home and was not able to take them with him. They are from the same litter and have been together their whole lives, so I'm looking for a home where they can go together. In my dad's previous assisted living home, they were unfazed by the many people who came in each day, and if not napping were happy to greet people, sniffing hands and accepting limited pets. With my dad, they liked sitting on the bed right next to his legs, and would happily receive pets. He did not handle them very much as kittens, and they are unhappy being picked up or snuggled. They have not met other cats, dogs, or children. Tawny (lighter colored, no white markings, smaller) is cautious, but a sweetheart. She adores cheek/neck scratches and will lean way into them. She loves being brushed on her cheeks, neck, and body. Regular pets are less exciting but still welcome. Loves playing with a laser pointer!

They have not met other cats, dogs, or children. Sookie (white chest and socks, larger) is our grumpy girl who has had a harder time with this change. She comes to us for treats (especially if she can hear Tawny crunching on them already) and just started accepting limited pets after a few days with us. Like her sister, loves the laser pointer!
