Story
Birdie is a 1.5 year old girl with the most beautiful and striking striped coat. She is snuggly and playful and LOVES her kitty foster siblings. She can be shy at first and they really help her come out of her shell and feel safe. She would benefit from going to a home with at least 1 other cat. She has bonded quickly to her patient foster Mom and loves to snuggle up and take naps with foster Dad. Once she knows she's safe she wants all of the love. She gets the zoomies a lot and she’s lightening fast!! She enjoys taking naps on her cat tree and bird watching out the window! She also loves like any toy! Apply today to meet this little gem. If you are interested in meeting Birdie, please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoptionapplication and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. This will get you the fastest response. Birdie’s adoption fee is $75 and includes age appropriate vaccines, spay, and microchip. Our wonderful colleagues at Bradford Pet Hospital are sponsoring Birdie's adoption fee for the holidays! Story
Rue was most certainly someone's beloved pet at some point. This beautiful girl found herself homeless but thankfully found her way to one of our foster homes where she has been taken care of as an outside kitty for sometime! Seeing how friendly she was and with this recent cold weather, the foster decided to bring Rue in and see if she might be a good candidate for an indoor cat and for adoption! And she was! This girl is so affectionate and loves to rub and snuggle. She LOVES toys and cannot get enough affection from her people. She is a pro biscuit maker and lap kitty. Unfortunately in Rue's time having to survive on her own, she picked up FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). This is a virus that she will always have and is only spread through bites. It is not spread through saliva or sharing bowls with other cats. With this virus Rue can live a full and healthy life but per local laws, must be adopted in the state of Missouri. She should go to a home where she is the only cat, where there are other FIV cats, or where there are other friendly cats and no risk of bites would take place. This virus is not contagious to people or dogs! This girl is precious and we are so thrilled she let us rescue her. Please apply today to add her to your family. If you are interested in meeting Rue, please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoptionapplication and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. This will get you the fastest response. Rue's adoption fee is $75 and includes age appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, and testing for feline leukemia and FIV. All cats adopted from The Rescue Project are intended to be indoor only cats.

Story
Baxter is a 3 year old male cat who was rescued after showing up at a kind persons job site. He is in a foster home with both small dogs and cats. It takes him awhile to warm up to new animals but he was recently introduced to 2 new foster cats in his foster home and is doing great with them! He would prefer that other animals respect his personal space and he will let them know when they are too close. Baxter just wants to be with his person! Foster mom says he has become quite the lap cat. It doesn’t matter if she is holding 3 dogs on her lap, Baxter finds a way to get in her lap for some snuggles. He does love to play with the cat toys, just lounge around on the back of the couch, look out the window and watch the birds. Since he was found outside, he will need a diligent owner who will make sure he doesn’t escape out an open door. We recommend no young children who could accidently let him outside. He would do fine with older children/teens. Apply today to meet this sweet gentleman. If you are interested in meeting Baxter, please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoptionapplication and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. This will get you the fastest response. Baxter's adoption fee is $75 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, and testing for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus.
