Story
Meet Arly! She is a 4 year old spayed female Torbie kitty looking for her forever home. She is chatty & likes to be playful, but also can be quite sweet & affectionate.Arly used to live with other cats & should do well living with others. We believe she would get along with a respectful, cat-savvy older kiddo. We are unsure how she may behave with a dog, but perhaps a cat-savvy dog that won`t bug her too much would be alright with her.Our shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12-4 (closed Mondays, appointment only Sunday). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you`re prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.

Story
This pet is on a WUO quarantine and not currently eligible for adoption. What the heck is a WUO? WUO stands for Wound of Unknown Origin. In Massachusetts, a domestic animal (like a dog or cat) with a wound of unknown origin (presumed to be from another animal) is generally subject to a quarantine period of FOUR MONTHS to observe for signs of rabies. During that time the pet must be kept in strict confinement and only rabies vaccinated personnel are allowed contact. We still give them love every day and enrichment to keep their brains working, they also get out of cage time to stretch their legs. Four months of care adds up- can you help?
