Aksana came to us from Moreno Shelter after having puppies while in quarantine. This mom seems to be Havanese and Maltese and is 2-4 years old and weighs aprox. 22-25 lbs Momma and her 4 puppies were rescued when 6 days old and Momma Aksana was a little defensive but after decompression time and earning her trust she really just wanted love!!! She seeks out meeting people and has shown us she seems to be house trained as well and walks on leash. We are taking applications on momma Aksana now who will be available after her puppies are 8 weeks old May 10th, 2024. Meet Breezy! Breezy was entrusted became a Frosted Face on February 11th through our Final Wish Program after her owner passed away unexpectedly the previous week. Breezy is 13 years old, weighs 19 lbs., and is very sweet and friendly. She does well with the other Frosted Faces in our littles' play yard. Her owner's daughter shared: "My mother adopted Breezy from her neighbor who passed away about 8 months ago. Since she had known Breezy for years and babysat her a lot, it was decided before her neighbor died that Breezy would go to her after his passing. It was obviously assumed that my mother would be able to tend to her until Breezy was too old to go on. My mom's death was sudden and unexpected. I know Breezy kept my mom happy on a daily basis. That was her child. They might have only been in-home together for less than a year, but that dog was always by her side. When I went to my mom's apartment the day after she died, Breezy was right by her side and did not want to leave when the Humane Society came to take her. On top of losing my mother, Breezy being taken broke my heart even more. This poor sweet girl lost two parents in a year." Breezy went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and she settled right in to home life. She earned a rave review from her Fling Mom: "Breezy is an amazing girl. She has the personality that many people are looking for - a happy, cuddly, enthusiastic companion. Here's what I learned about her: *Housetrained. Hasn't had any accidents and will hold it if the yard is not available. *Likes to sleep with her person. In the same bed or in a dog bed works. *She's very happy when her person comes home. *Gets along with people and dogs. *Quick learner. She is blind, but I taught her how to get up and down the ramp to join me on the recliner. *Enjoys being outside. *Enjoys treat puzzles. *Loves belly rubs. "Is very engaged in life. *Likes to help out in the kitchen. *Walks very nicely on a leash. Breezy is a gem! I can honestly say that Breezy is the ideal companion dog. Her personality and behavior are perfect." Breezy currently lives in a foster home, but she is still waiting for her forever family. Might that be you?
