Story
🌺 Meet Hula 🌺At 14 years old, Hula isn't looking for grand adventures—she's simply looking for a soft bed, a gentle hand, and someone to love her through her golden years.Hula came to H.A.L.O. alongside two other dogs after their beloved owner passed away. Honoring her friend's final wishes, a dear family friend brought them to us so they could each have the chance to find loving homes once again. This sweet little Japanese Chin is understandably overwhelmed by shelter life. After spending nearly her entire life in the comfort of a home, the sights and sounds of the shelter are a big adjustment. Right now she's quiet and a little shy, but we know she'll likely blossom once she's back in a peaceful home where she can finally relax.Like many senior pups, Hula comes with a few age-related quirks—her eyesight is a little fuzzy, her hearing is a little selective (we think she sometimes uses that to her advantage!), and she much prefers the slower pace of life these days.Hula is currently available as a foster-to-adopt while we continue managing her kidney disease. She'll need a prescription kidney diet and daily medication, and we'll recheck her bloodwork in November to monitor her progress. Once her kidney values are stable, she'll receive the dental care she needs—and H.A.L.O. will cover all of her medical care until she's medically cleared for adoption. If you can offer Hula a quiet home and a soft place to land, you'll be giving this gentle little lady the greatest gift she could ask for: comfort, love, and the chance to spend her golden years exactly where she belongs. ❤️Requirements: Martingale Collar; Kidney Meds/Diet; Foster-To-Adopt (Kidney Recheck & Dental)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
