Meet Dixie, a 2-year-old Havanese mix weighing 24 pounds. This sweet, happy girl has a friendly personality and a face that reminds us of Peg from Lady and the Tramp with her adorable haircut. Dixie seems to make friends wherever she goes and enjoys a good cuddle session with her favorite people. When we took her photos, she appeared to be treat motivated, which is always a bonus for bonding and training. We were told that Dixie is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, though she has not been tested with them while in our care. She will need to be fed separately from other pets, as she prefers not to share her meals. If you're looking for a cheerful, affectionate companion with plenty of charm and a cuddly side, Dixie may be the perfect addition to your family. Her minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
