Story
Dylan is a tiny little puppy know as a Havamalt, a Havanese and Maltese pup. He is a spirited little guy who will start out a bit shy. He was born in a commercial breeding facility and dogs not have the same puppy experiences a dog might have that was born in your home. He wasn't exposed to the same things at an early age. That being said, he is learning and adjusting well now that he is with us. He is a happy guy who loves to play with his mates. He will need house training and regular training like any puppy would. He does like to vocalize so he will be best suited for a home rather than an apartment or condo setting. Dylan is a little guy causing him to be more fragile, He can't be in a home with little kids but would be fine with older kids. Like all puppies, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Dylan important learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Dylan is fully vetted. He has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption donation is $1200..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Dylan wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a very flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in and to the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate, please fill out an application for adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via emial/ Do not call. Story
Havapoo Harkin came to us by no fault of his own after finding himself homeless & in an Indiana kill shelter. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building because he is nervous in new situations. His approx. birth date is 03/17/25 and he currently weighs 10.2#. We are guessing at his breed makeup due to his coat. She has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is heart worm & tick born illness negative. His adoption donation is $400 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2688446##

Story
Poppy is a charming and gentle dog .she is estimated to be about 3 years old and about 14lbs. She was a local stray found on the streets of Chicago. She’s used to a leash and enjoys a walk or playing in a secure yard. Poppy will escape for an adventurer if she has a chance, she needs a savvy owner and secure yard. Poppy has potty skills but like all dogs, she will need a restart and routine to follow in a new environment . Poppy likes being near her people. She’s happy to play with other dogs but can be dominant over others that are more submissive. As a result, we want her to be the only dog in the household, no other dogs, cats or other animals. Like all dogs, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs —not only to give Poppy important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Poppy is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $600..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Poppy wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse!
