Story
Meet Daisy! Age: 4 Years OldWeight: 14 lbsBreed: Havanese Mix (Best Guess) Daisy is a sweet and gentle little girl with a heart full of love and a quiet nature that makes her an easy companion. While her previous owner described her as a Shih Tzu/Golden Retriever mix, we think that's a bit of a stretch! Our best guess is that Daisy is some type of Havanese mix, but whatever her breed combination may be, one thing is certain—she's absolutely adorable. Daisy was lovingly surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. She has lived with other dogs and has adjusted well to sharing her foster home with cats, proving herself to be a polite and easygoing companion. She isn't the type to demand constant attention and would much rather spend her days relaxing near her people and enjoying a calm, predictable routine. Because Daisy can become nervous when there's a lot of activity and commotion around her, she is looking for a quieter home. She would do best in an adult-only household or one with older, respectful children who understand how to give her the space and patience she needs to feel comfortable. Daisy has a good understanding of house manners and is crate trained. She has not had any experience walking on a leash, so her future family will need a securely fenced physical yard where she can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. She is not a good candidate for an invisible fence or tether. Like many small companion breeds, Daisy will require regular professional grooming throughout her life. When she arrived, her coat was severely matted and uncomfortable, requiring a complete shave-down. With proper care and routine grooming appointments, her beautiful coat will grow back and stay healthy and comfortable. Daisy is a happy little girl who is simply looking for a family to cherish her and provide the love, stability, and care she deserves. If you're searching for a loyal companion to share life's quieter moments with, Daisy may be the perfect addition to your family. Daisy is ready to find her happily-ever-after and a family that will love her furever. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2763678##

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
