Story
ZeusyMaleAge: 11Weight: 22 lbsBreed: Shih tzu mix Hey, I’m Zeusy. Strong name, soft heart. I’m a curious, confident guy who knows what I like—and I’m looking for a home that gets me. I’m loyal, house trained, crate trained, and walk great on a leash. I’m not much for cuddling or smooching, but I do love being close to my person. If you’re on the couch or in bed, I’ll be right there, gently pressed up against you—no need for extra blankets when you’ve got me around. I’ve lived peacefully with a cat my whole life and get along with other dogs, especially larger, laid-back ones. I like to play, but I definitely prefer to be the alpha, so I’d do best as either a solo dog or with a calm, respectful canine companion. Small children? Not my vibe—I’m best in a home with no kids or older children (10+) who understand boundaries. My favorite things? Lounging in the sun, chewing on rubber toys, and any treat you’ve got. I’m a couch potato at heart who enjoys hanging out with my human, going for walks, and just being your steady, loyal shadow. If you're looking for a chill, low-maintenance buddy who’ll always have your back (without licking your face), I might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in meeting Zeusy, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. Adoption fee: $195. Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 10 years old or older.  ##2482598##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lindy – Your Little Sunshine-Seeking Sweetheart! Lindy is a gentle, tender-hearted girl who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. This precious soul is still learning to trust, but every day she makes sweet progress — and when she does, it’s pure magic. Lindy loves nothing more than romping around a fenced yard with her doggy friends, digging in the grass, soaking up the warm sunshine, and enjoying a tasty treat or two. She has a low-to-medium energy level and is happiest in a calm, predictable environment where she can feel safe and secure. While loud noises and sudden movements can startle her, Lindy is never aggressive — just a sensitive girl who needs patience and understanding. With time, she’s started to show her affectionate side, even hopping up on the couch for quiet cuddle time once she feels comfortable. &#239&#184&#143&#226&#156&#168 Lindy would thrive in a quiet, low-key home with a secure fenced yard and at least one confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. She’s great in the car, loves treats, and has a heart full of love waiting for the right person to unlock it. If you understand mill dogs and believe in celebrating small victories, Lindy just might be your perfect match. Watching her blossom will be one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll ever take. Lindy's adoption donation is $500 and she is being fostered in the Central Ohio area. She has been completely prepared for her new life—she's been spayed, microchipped, and is current on all vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella). She has tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Lindy has also had a dental cleaning, so you can focus on what matters most: bonding with your new cuddle partner!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  February 2, 2026, 12:39 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Amelia “Millie” — a precious puppy mill survivor learning how wonderful life can be Amelia is a rescued puppy mill momma who is now discovering what it truly means to be loved. Despite her past, she has the sweetest heart and a gentle, affectionate nature that shines brighter every day. She adores her people and happily shows her appreciation with kisses, tail wags, and quiet companionship. This lovely girl finds joy in the simple comforts she was once denied—delicious meals, tasty treats, her favorite Nylabones, and sinking into big fluffy blankets or her cozy heated dog bed. She enjoys sleeping close to her people but is also comfortable settling into a kennel when needed. When she heads outside, her playful side appears in the form of adorable little hops and zoomies that look like a tiny pygmy goat bouncing with happiness. Amelia has a low-to-moderate energy level and is the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. She enjoys short bursts of activity but is just as content napping beside her people. She does well with her potty routine when kept on a schedule, understanding that there will always be a transition period as she adjusts to a new home. As a mill survivor, Millie is still building confidence in the world around her. She is cautious with quick movements and is continuing to learn leash skills at her own pace. A securely fenced yard is ideal for her at this time, not because she’s a flight risk, but to help her feel safe while she gains confidence. Amelia gets along well with other dogs but does not require a canine companion—she’s happy being independent and soaking up human affection. Her ideal home will be patient, attentive, and full of love, allowing her to continue her journey from survivor to cherished family member. Amelia has already come so far, and with the right home, her best days are truly ahead of her. If you’re ready to give a deserving survivor the life she’s always deserved, Millie is ready to give her whole heart in return. Amelia's adoption donation is $500, and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She is fully vetted and ready for her forever home — she has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccines, including rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella.
