Meet Lidia! Lidia is an 8-year-old, 14-pound Havanese who has spent most of her life doing one thing--having babies. As a former puppy mill mom, she was bred litter after litter and now it's finally her turn to be spoiled, loved and cherished. Lidia is a very sweet girl who can be a little timid as she learns what it means to be a beloved companion. She'll need a patient family willing to give her time, encouragement, and plenty of love as she discovers all the good things life has to offer. Lidia is not yet housebroken and has never learned to walk on a leash, so her new family should be prepared to continue helping her learn. A secure, fenced yard is a requirement for Lidia's forever home. After years of being valued only for what she could produce, Lidia deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and a life where she gets to simply be a dog. We found Benny in February running along a road in the snow, badly matted with overgrown nails, clearly neglected. We took him in, got him neutered, vaccinated and healthy, and somewhere along the way he became a part of our family.Benny is a 14-lb Yorkie Havanese mix and truly the sweetest little dog. He loves squeaky toys, long walks, snuggling in bed, being held, and howls with excitement when we come home. He's been wonderful around young children and loves having a dog friend to play with.Unfortunately, a serious conflict developed between Benny and one of our older dogs, and they can no longer safely be together. He gets along wonderfully with our other dog, so this is specific to their relationship.If circumstances were different, Benny wouldn't be going anywhere. We love him enormously and will be very selective. He deserves a home where he'll be adored, played with, snuggled and part of the family.
