Story
Say hello to Marnie, a recent mom who is now looking for her forever home. She is a loving girl who is content sitting by you on the couch giving first class snuggles. She is playful and loves both her stuffy toys and rubber chew toys while taking great delight in hiding some in the yard. She has excellent house manners and is fully house-trained. Additionally, she rides well in a car and doesn’t mind cats. She is good around small respectful dogs not having met any big dogs. Marnie would love a quiet household with activity as a very busy household is not for her. Marnie must have a fenced yard, as she will not go to the bathroom while on a leash. Having been abandoned once before, she just wants to be with her people and be a part of their daily activities. While she can handle being alone for very short periods, she generally prefers company. Please note that she has not been around small children, so a home with children aged 10 years and older is recommended. (An adoption fee of $500 is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.

This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better.
