You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PLEASE go to our website www.collarofhope.org to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application.  All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train a puppy? Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment? This litter was born in our rescue the day we received their Mama.   If you apply for one of these puppies, note who your groomer is on the application as they'll need regular professional grooming their whole lives.  We do not want them in the horrible shape their Mom was in when she arrived nor the majority of the hair dogs we receive.   Families with young children in the home will not be considered. About these babies.  They are the sweetest and very social.  They are loving running and exploring now.  They are so fluffy that they've already started getting their pads shaved and sanitary clips done. Their Mama is a Havanese and we suspect (cannot guarantee) their Papa was a shih tzu.     Puppies that are not old enough to have received all 3 puppy DHPP vaccines will not be adopted to anyone in apartment or condo residents as they are not protected against parvo or distemper until they've received all 3 vaccines. Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they will need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy.   Vaccine Protocol is as follows: DHPP series of 3 are needed and puppies are not protected against parvo or distemper until they're received ALL 3 vaccines. Ben is a wonderful senior dog. He lives with a senior lady and they enjoy daily naps (he is not a lap dog). He does not get under foot but is always by her side when she goes anywhere except in the car. He’s a homebody except when he goes to the groomer every 6 weeks. He’s a little deaf . He is very good with small children that understand how to treat animals . He’s not much for going for walks. His owner is elderly is it’s getting harder for her to take him out to go potty . He’s her best friend and has a wonderful disposition.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Evie is a darling young girl.  She came to us via a local puppy miller, very pregnant.  Her mama duties are done, she's vetted, we've gotten to know her outside of being a mama and it's her time to be someone's baby. She is sweet, fairly active and good with dogs.  She loves affection and attention but doesn't quite understand this lap dog stuff and won't stay there long.  She looks like a perfect mix of toy poodle and maltese but she's the wrong color.  There was a havanese with the same coloring so she may have some of that too.  Her coat is maltese fine but curlier and her tail curls like a cinnamon roll, tight and sits straight up on her back.   She is still learning to be a house pet.  She is not house broken nor crate trained.  If left too long without trips outside, she will soil in the home or her crate.  She doesn't necessarily use the provided puppy pads either.    Her new family must be able to continue to help her with these things.  She is not leash trained either so that will need to be worked on.  And this also means, a securely fenced yard is required, no exceptions.  No younger children in the home either.   We have her on a good grain free, chicken free food (as all maltese should be on due to them being prone to allergies with both) and she's doing great.  She's been groomed twice now, once the day we got her and recently before her spay.  She was a matted, stinky, long nails and flea infested girl when we got her.  We never want her in that condition again.  Please provide your groomers name and phone number on our adoption application if you would like to apply for her.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2026, 10:03 am

This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better.
