Meet Buddy 🐾 Buddy has had a tough start in life, and it’s left him a little unsure of the world. But he has come such a long way and continues to make progress every day. With patience, love, and understanding, Buddy will keep gaining confidence in his new home. Buddy would do best in a quiet home with a single woman and no children. He doesn’t mind having another small dog around, but he’s more of a “nap together” kind of friend than a playmate. He does enjoy going on walks, but he will need continued training, as he can sometimes slip out and run. A secure environment and someone willing to work patiently with him will help him succeed. He will also need a patient adopter to continue helping him learn to go outside for potty breaks. Marnie is a recent mom who is now looking for that special forever home. She is a cautious girl who needs a little time to decide to engage with you. She must have a fenced yard, as she will not go to the bathroom while on a leash. We believe she may have suffered past trauma related to leashes, so walking on one is not currently an activity she can do. Marnie has perfect house manners and plays well with all her toys. She also gets along well with small dogs, though she has not yet been around big dogs or children under 10 years of age. She is a loving little dog who wants nothing more than to sit by your side and have you stroke her head for as long as you are willing. She loves being with her person but is not a shadow dog. She rides well in the car and is okay being left alone for short periods of time while she is fine with cats. (An adoption fee of $500 is required.) Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.

Juji is a Havanese puppy. He is fun and loves cuddles and playing with his foster sister. He is a hungry boy and has a great appetite. He sleeps well in a crate with a blanket over the crate to make it a little more cosy. He uses a pee pad pretty consistently. He is good with other dogs, but hasn’t been around children. He rides well in a car. He is a sweet little boy and gets more adventuresome every day. He is so easy to love. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Hi! My name is Monte Scarlatto but you can call me Monte. My birthday is estimated at 9/3/2023, I weigh 18 pounds, and the vet says I am a Havanese mix. What do you think? I love pets and getting belly rubs and often do not believe in personal space. My favorite thing of all time might be fetch! I will chase that ball for hours so if I drop it at your feet you better be ready! I am a bit of an anxious boy and will need a person who can be super patient with me and help me learn how to accept the things that scare me most. My foster mom is getting me started but i need to take it real slow. Grooming is one of the things I don't like so you might consider finding me a good professional. I am house trained, and crate trained but don’t enjoy being in it. I am pretty dog savvy and don't mind living with others but my person is my favorite.
