Story
Hi, I’m Seabourn, and I’m a happy little Havanese boy pup with a gentle heart and a big sense of adventure. Nothing makes me light up like going for a walk. I absolutely love being outside — exploring, sniffing, and burning off my puppy energy. I get along with everyone - big dogs, little dogs, cats, chickens, kids - you name it. Once I’m comfortable, I’m the sweetest little buddy you could ask for. A play pen helps me take breaks, and I settle in there pretty quickly. I like being able to see you, though. I love keeping an eye on my people. And I’m doing great with potty training. I go outside every couple of hours, and I’ve been keeping my playpen clean, even overnight. I sleep in my playpen, too. Usually the whole night through. I’m a curious little guy and always on the move — the world is just too exciting right now for long cuddle sessions, though I think that will come with time. I’m looking for an active, loving home that enjoys walks, exploring, and helping a young pup grow into a confident, happy dog. I’ve got a big heart, a gentle soul, and the cutest little face — and I can’t wait to find my person. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

ZENO's Story DOB: 10/29/2019 Weight: 12lbs Adoption fee: $500 Zeno is a charming Havanese mix with a gentle spirit and a love for the outdoors. He’s good with people and does well with other dogs his own size. Zeno is an excellent hiking companion—he loves hitting the trails and always stays close by. Beach hikes are a favorite too, especially when there’s room to explore and fresh air to enjoy. Having a yard is a big plus for him, as he enjoys spending time outside and soaking up his surroundings. In his previous home, Zeno typically slept on the couch and enjoyed his rest time. He has had a couple of biting incidents in the past when he was startled while sleeping, so it’s important that his future home understands his need for space when resting and avoids sudden disturbances. Zeno has does well in crowded places and is known for his excellent manners. Groomers consistently say he is very well behaved, making care a breeze. At home, you’ll usually find him happily snoozing on the couch, enjoying a cozy and calm environment. Zeno would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion who loves nature, routine, and a peaceful lifestyle. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
Hi! My name is Monte Scarlatto but you can call me Monte. My birthday is estimated at 9/3/2023, I weigh 18 pounds, and the vet says I am a Havanese mix. What do you think? I love pets and getting belly rubs and often do not believe in personal space. My favorite thing of all time might be fetch! I will chase that ball for hours so if I drop it at your feet you better be ready! I am a bit of an anxious boy and will need a person who can be super patient with me and help me learn how to accept the things that scare me most. My foster mom is getting me started but i need to take it real slow. Grooming is one of the things I don't like so you might consider finding me a good professional. I am house trained, and crate trained but don’t enjoy being in it. I am pretty dog savvy and don't mind living with others but my person is my favorite. I need an enclosed yard for playing fetch and no young children. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Rue is a Havanese puppy. He is the sweetest boy! He loves to be around people. He follows his people everywhere. He loves other dogs, big and small and is very playful with them. He’s still trying to win over cats. He wants their attention badly, but they aren’t so sure.. He is great on a leash and loves running around the backyard. Rue sleeps through the night, in the people bed. Once he’s asleep he’s out until morning. You don’t even notice him on the bed. He takes little naps throughout the day, either on a dog bed near his people’s feet as they are working. Rue does pretty well with potty training, he goes out multiple times a day. He warmed up to his foster folks right away, but took a few days to adjust to children. He lays on the couch with them now, lets them cuddle him, and wakes them up in the morning by jumping on their bed and licking their faces! He’s social and likes to be around people once he’s comfortable. He’s also great in the car. He eats in him the AM and PM, but seems to like to eat his food in stages instead of all at once. He grazes throughout the day. He drinks a lot of water. He’s also a big fan of treats and likes eating from his puzzle activities. He likes chewing on bones and playing with his ball. He’s very chill, rather than being a really a high energy dog. -----
