Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home My name is Roy, and I’m a 3-year-old female toy poodle weighing just 3.4kg — a tiny little girl who fits perfectly in your arms. 🐾 I was rescued just before euthanasia after going through a very difficult past. Even so, I didn’t lose my love for people. In fact, I think I love humans even more now. Once I feel safe, I open my heart quickly and naturally want to stay close to my person. In my foster home, I adjusted within just a few days — I’m quite adaptable when I feel secure. Now, I love following my caregivers everywhere, staying close, and being part of their daily life. I’m very affectionate and enjoy being held, cuddled, and right next to someone I trust. 💛 My energy level is medium to low. I enjoy walks and I’m starting to show more playful and curious behaviors, but I’m still a gentle and easygoing little girl overall. I don’t show much interest in other dogs, but I also don’t react fearfully or aggressively — I simply coexist peacefully. I’m already well-trained in my potty habits. I use pee pads indoors for urination, and I prefer to poop during walks outside. I’m also learning to sleep in a crate at night, and I’m becoming more comfortable resting inside it on my own during the day as well. One important thing about me is that I don’t really enjoy being alone for long periods. I feel happiest when I can be close to my people, so a family that is often home or can spend a lot of time with me would be the best fit. I used to vocalize a bit when left alone, but I’ve improved a lot — now I mostly stay calm and just get excited to greet my family when they come back home. I do have a few special care needs. I’m missing some of my upper front teeth, so soft food or wet food mixed meals suit me best. I also may have experienced food insecurity in the past, so I can get quite interested in food. For my safety, food items, trash bins, and anything edible should be kept out of reach. When I’m left alone, I stay safely in a crate where I feel secure and protected. I’m still learning, but I’m doing my best every day. More than anything, I love being loved. With patience, warmth, and consistency, I continue to grow more confident and happy each day. I don’t need a perfect life — I just need someone who will stay close, care for me, and never make me feel alone again. I may be small, but my heart is full of love waiting to be shared. I’m Roy, and I’m waiting for the family who will hold me gently and keep me close forever. 🤍🐾

Story
When Mulberry was captured by urban management, he was not in pretty shape - he had a cataract in his eye, his fur was matted, long, and dirty. We suspect he was abandoned by his owner due to his old age and eye problem. One day Mulberry couldn't get up from his crate, he was immediately taken to the vet and we found out he had pancreatitis. After his care ended, someone said they would adopt Mulberry so our rescuer fought to get him out of the urban management shelter. Unfortunately, they backed out. Now, Mulberry lives with many other dogs at the rescuer's own sanctuary, but we hope someone kind can bring him home and give him the life he deserves. This poor boy had been through so much, yet still so kind and friendly. Mulberry is currently in China, and available to fly to you in the coming months. Please send us an email if you are interested in learning more about him and our adoption process!
