Story
Meet Leroy, a white-and-apricot Miniature Poodle puppy born April 3, 2026. Leroy came to rescue from the commercial pet trade as a very sick little boy, but after receiving lots of love and medical care, he has made a full recovery and is ready to find his forever family.
His foster mom describes him as pure joy and affection. When Leroy is happy, he bounces into the air like a tiny, curly-haired pogo stick—and Leroy is happy quite a lot.
At 8.1 pounds, Leroy is playful, intelligent, gentle and eager to please. He loves toys, puzzle games, snuffle mats, keep-away and wrestling respectfully with his foster siblings. He has done well with large and small dogs, older dogs, male and female dogs, and cats. He could be happy with animal friends or as the only pet.
Leroy is affectionate without being clingy. He enjoys pets, face kisses and cuddling for a while, then is comfortable relaxing independently. He is crate trained, rides well in the car, knows sit and is learning to catch a ball. He is approximately 80% potty trained, uses potty pads, goes outside on a two-hour schedule and has begun going to the door when he needs out.
He has done well with older and considerate children; his experience with children under three is unknown. Leroy’s ideal home will have a yard, humans who enjoy playing and cuddling, and a family committed to continuing his puppy training.
