Story
Meet Daphne, newly adoptable little cutie! Nine pounds of floof, affection, and absolute devotion. Daphne is about 3 years old and the kind of little dog people dream about finding…soft, sweet, and happiest when she’s right by your side. She’s a true Velcro dog who would gladly spend 24/7 as your tiny shadow, curled beside you on the couch, following you from room to room, and making sure you never have to do life alone. She’s potty trained, quick to learn, and eager to please. She came into rescue as a stray, and after her hold was up, she found herself needing a little extra help finding the home she truly deserves. We suspect she’s a Maltipoo, maybe with a little Bichon mixed in, but mostly she’s just the perfect blend of tiny, cuddly, and completely lovable. Daphne gets along well with other dogs and cats, once she has a little time to settle in and feel safe. She loves people easily, but what she’s really searching for is HER person, that special human she can bond with deeply and follow faithfully through all the ordinary little moments that make up a life. She is the kind of dog who will make your house feel softer, warmer, and more like home. If you’ve been looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, Daphne may be waiting for you. Story
If you're searching for the most devoted, loving best friend imaginable, Clifford may be the perfect match for you! Clifford is an adorable, scruffy Westie/Poodle mix who is estimated by the New Mexico veterinarian to be around 5 years old, though both we and his foster suspect he may be younger based on his playful, youthful personality. He weighs 15 pounds. We do not DNA test our rescue dogs, so his breed mix is simply our veterinarian's best guess based on his appearance. Clifford made his way to us from a shelter in New Mexico and is now thriving in his foster home here in Boulder. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that this little guy is bursting with personality, happiness, and a zest for life. Clifford is wonderfully social and gets along great with everyone he meets, both people and other dogs alike. He has a fun-loving, playful spirit and is definitely on the higher-energy side. Toys are one of his favorite things in the world, and he can happily entertain himself for hours or invite you to join in the fun. His goofy antics, joyful attitude, and puppy-like enthusiasm are absolutely contagious and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Clifford does have cataracts and his vision isn't perfect, but you would never know it from the way he lives his life! He navigates his surroundings with ease. The veterinarians believe he can still see shadows and movement. Clifford confidently gets around (never bumps into things), plays fetch, and easily can find his toys. He's certainly not fully blind. When Clifford first notices someone new approaching, he may let out a little bark at the unfamiliar figure due to his vision not being the best. But the moment you offer your hand for a sniff, he gets excited to meet you. As soon as he realizes you're a friend, his entire body starts wiggling with excitement and happiness. Clifford truly has never met a stranger and absolutely adores people. His loving, friendly personality shines through with everyone he meets, making it easy to see why so many people fall for him so quickly. Clifford is also potty trained (his foster mentioned he had a few accidents during the first few days, but since then has shown he is totally potty trained) and while the shelter we rescued him from mentioned possible limited hearing, both his foster and our team have seen that he can definitely hear, especially when it comes to a toy squeaking! Clifford is truly the best of both worlds...a sweet, loving companion who also brings fun, laughter, and playful energy into your home. He's resilient, happy, and ready to share his big personality with a forever family who will adore him just as much as we do. Farfel's Rescue would love to see this wonderful boy in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and open heart for a very loving and sweet little guy. We'd hate to see this social pup left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. An individual who works from an at-home office or is retired would be a far better choice for Clifford who would be thrilled with periodic loving up and hugs over the course of the day. Clifford has been fully vetted and vaccinated to support Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered in support of Farfel's work to end canine euthanasia due to overpopulation. Clifford is available for adoption now. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loving best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Clifford please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Moose is a 7-year-old, 28 lb. Wheaten Terrier / Poodle mix boy with a big heart and a loyal personality. He is dearly loved by his family, who adopted him 7 years ago, but with young children in the home they can no longer give him the calm environment and attention he needs. Moose is affectionate, playful, smart, and deeply bonded to his adult humans. He loves snuggling, following his people around the house, fetch, tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, and relaxing nearby on work-from-home days. He even gives “hugs” by gently placing his paws on your shoulders and giving kisses. Moose is fully house trained, trusted loose in the house when home alone, and generally very well-mannered indoors. He knows many commands, including sit, down, stay, settle, touch, leave it, take it, rollover, high-five, hug, and get your ball. Moose has lived successfully with another dog and loved his Pomeranian sister for 5 years. He has also done well with doggie daycare and boarding, once given time to adjust. Moose’s best fit is an adult-only home or a home without young children. He has shown stress signals around young kids and would do best in a calmer household. He is also leash reactive and may bark or pull when seeing strangers or unfamiliar dogs, so he needs an experienced adopter willing to manage walks thoughtfully. Moose is treat motivated, loyal, affectionate, and very trainable. With the right home, he has a lot of love and companionship to give. Send us an email if you're interested in Moose at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly.
