Story
Dakota is a sweet little gentleman with a heart as big as his adorable puppy-dog eyes. This 7-year-old poodle mix weighs just 8 pounds, making him the perfect-sized sidekick for someone looking for a loyal companion. With his soft light tan coat, darker tan accents, and tiny tail, Dakota is as cute as they come! Dakota is the definition of a “velcro dog.” He loves being close to his people, whether that means cuddling in your lap, following you from room to room, or happily soaking up ear scratches and chest rubs. He’s housebroken, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly in his crate through the night like a champ.Dakota is looking for a home that understands his sensitive side. He can become anxious when he can’t see his person, but he’s making progress with crate training and routines. He’s especially motivated by treats (the way to his heart!) and will happily cooperate for snacks and gentle encouragement. Dakota gets along well with other small dogs and is slowly learning that bigger dogs can be friends too. He’s also discovering how to play, especially if a ball is involved—although his version of “fetch” may end with him proudly chewing on the prize instead of returning it. He’s not a fan of car rides or brushing sessions, but with patience and love, this little guy blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Meet Wemby — a goofy, lovable boy with a big personality and lots of love to give! He’s good with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around, though when the excitement gets going and another dog starts barking, he may try to hump them. He’s still learning his manners and will need continued guidance and structure as he matures. Wemby is also good with cats and does well sharing his space with feline friends. He may have a little food aggression, so feeding separately or giving him his own space during meals is recommended. His neuter should help with some of his marking behaviors, but right now he may still try to mark occasionally. This handsome boy is looking for a family that understands young dogs sometimes come with a few quirks, but also knows the reward of watching them grow into amazing companions. Wemby is sweet, fun, and ready for a forever home willing to continue helping him be his best self! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Courtesy post: Pebbles is a 16-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix (about 30% ACD, 20% Poodle, and 10% Australian Shepherd) born on November 15, 2024. This beautiful black and blue/tan merle girl is smart, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. Pebbles thrives on connection with her family and bonds closely with those she trusts. She currently lives with three children (elementary through high school age), another dog, and a cat, and does well with older children, cats, and calm, non-reactive dogs. Pebbles absolutely adores her family and shows her affectionate side with the people she knows best. Like many herding breeds, Pebbles is sensitive and protective, and she struggles with anxiety and reactivity toward unfamiliar people. She has a history of nipping when she feels the need to defend her family. Her current family has taken extensive steps to help her succeed, including working closely with their veterinarian and behavior professionals, placing her on medication, completing a 7-week board-and-train program, and muzzle training. These tools have helped her build better coping skills and allow her to navigate the world more safely. Pebbles would do best with experienced, patient dog owners familiar with herding breeds who can provide structure, continued management, and a calm environment. A quiet home with a large yard—ideally in an area with fewer passersby, cars, and neighborhood noise—would help her thrive. She does best when interactions with strangers are limited, and a home where visitors can be separated from her space (or where guests are infrequent) would be ideal. Outside the home, Pebbles tends to relax more and enjoys being active, but her current busy neighborhood with constant noise, traffic, and school buses can be overwhelming for her. Her family believes she would flourish in a quieter setting with fewer triggers and more room to decompress and exercise. This decision comes from a place of deep love. Pebbles’ family is heartbroken to rehome her, but they want to give her the opportunity to live in an environment where she can feel safe, calm, and successful. For the right adopter—someone who understands loyal, intelligent, high-drive herding dogs—Pebbles will be a devoted, ride-or-die companion who will love her person with her whole heart.'May 21, 2026, 4:46 pm
