Story
These two bonded female Goldendoodles arrived in foster care after losing the person who loved them most — and despite that heartbreak, they showed up with tails wagging and temperaments so impossibly good that Foster Mom is still not entirely convinced they're real dogs and not elaborate golden-furred angels in disguise. 🐾 Kids? Love them. Dogs? Love them. Cats? Love them. Strangers who walked in two seconds ago? Already their best friends. Fair warning — their arrival greeting involves enthusiastic jumping and joyful barking, because when you're this happy to meet people, subtlety is simply not on the menu. 🐾 Every night, these two walk themselves directly into their shared crate at bedtime like the world's most self-sufficient roommates and remain quiet until morning. 🐾 Housebroken for the most part. They know what's expected. They're doing their best. Aren't we all. 🐾 Great in the car. And — here's the kicker — they do not act their age. Not even slightly. Foster Mom would have guessed years younger for both. They clearly did not get the senior dog memo. Mazzie, Age 11 🧡 Mazzie is what we in the business call extra chonky — and she has absolutely zero regrets about it. She never turns down a treat. When the day is done, Mazzie's happy place is curled up right next to you on the couch, warm and content, living her absolute best life. She weighs 25 pounds of pure, unapologetic comfort dog. Phoenix, Age 13 ✨ Phoenix is, frankly, unfairly beautiful. With looks like she hit the genetic lottery, she carries herself accordingly. At 19 pounds she's slightly more independent than her sister — emphasis on slightly — and while she may not velcro herself to you quite as immediately as Mazzie, make no mistake: she still wants to be in your world. She's just a little more chic about it. Mazzie and Phoenix lost their person. They didn't lose their joy, their sweetness, or their enormous capacity to love — and they have so much of it left to give. They just need a couch, a crate, a treat or two, and someone to be theirs again. The combined adoption fee is $625. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Nia: tiny, fluffy perfection with a PhD in being delightful 💁‍♀️🐾 Nia is a 4-year-old Poodle mix weighing in at a very portable 13.8 pounds—basically the ideal size for laps, couches, and being carried around like the little queen she is. Her personality? Sweet. Like, ridiculously sweet. The kind of dog who makes you wonder how you ever lived without her. She’s gentle, friendly, and just an all-around “good girl” in the way that makes life easier and happier. Nia gets along great with other dogs and would happily coexist or make friends, depending on the vibe. She’s the kind of pup who fits in wherever she goes—low drama, high charm. If you’re looking for a lovable, easygoing companion who brings nothing but good energy and soft cuddles into your life, Nia is ready to step into the role immediately 💕🐾 If you are interested in finding out more about Nia, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Nia is located in Millbury, MA.
