Story
**Meet Rocky!** If you're looking for a little shadow who believes there is no such thing as being *too close* to the people he loves, Rocky is your guy! This adorable Miniature Poodle is a retired breeder who has fully embraced the good life. His favorite place in the world is curled up in someone's lap, soaking up all the love and affection he can get. Rocky is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he's with his people. In fact, he's so devoted that he insists on sleeping right next to his mom at night and will happily follow you from room to room. Just be prepared—his dedication can make him a bit of a trip hazard because he never wants to be far away! Rocky is making wonderful progress with leash training and is doing quite well. The big outdoors is still a little scary for him, but with patience and encouragement, he's gaining confidence every day. He's also working on his potty-training skills and continues to improve. Rocky is not a marker and can hold it but just needs to be brave to potty outside. He is doing well. He just got neutered and had a dental cleaning. This lovable little guy gets along great with other dogs, is friendly with kids, and never passes up an opportunity to climb into a welcoming lap. His gentle, easygoing personality makes him a wonderful fit for just about any family willing to give him the love and reassurance he deserves. If you're ready for a loyal best friend who will shower you with affection and happily be your constant companion, Rocky is waiting to meet you! **Adoption Fee:** $450 + tax Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Joker, affectionately known as Pooh Pooh Bear to his foster mom, is a breeder-release mini poodle who has successfully completed his career change into a full-time human attachment system. Joker comes pre-programmed with one primary function: attach himself firmly to a warm human and remain within snuggle range whenever possible. Joker is extremely sweet, slightly clingy, and deeply committed to physical affection. Personal space is not in his vocabulary. In fact, he believes your lap, chest, or favorite spot on the couch was specifically designed for his occupancy. 🐾 Training & Life Skills (In Progress): * Kennel training: learning it is a safe space, though he prefers human proximity-based lodging * Potty training: He is potty trained! * Leash training: not fully started, but early indications suggest he believes walking is optional when human carrying is available * Social skills: Gets along with other dogs although would likely be fine living as an only dog. He does get scared of big dogs whose play tendencies are a little exuberant, especially if they try to squash him with their big paws, and chase after him. Joker is being fostered with PJ, also available through Camp Companion, and Joker is scared of PJs play style and size although the foster has two resident dogs PJs size who are gentle and give him space and Joker is not scared of them. PJ has well meaning intentions and just wants to play with Joker. 🚨 Important Safety Requirement Because Joker is a breeder-release dog, he is still learning that the world is a safe place. New sights, sounds, and experiences can sometimes be overwhelming, and when frightened, his instinct is to run. For this reason, a securely fenced above-ground yard is required. Joker is not currently comfortable on a leash and may pull, back away, or attempt to slip out of his collar when scared. Extreme caution should always be used around open doors, gates, and when loading or unloading from vehicles. Underground/electric fencing is not an option for Joker. A frightened dog can easily run through an electric fence boundary. Once outside the boundary, many dogs become reluctant to return because they know they will receive another correction when crossing back through. This requirement is for Joker’s safety and protection. If you’re looking for a tiny companion who believes love means staying close to his person, Joker is currently accepting applications for his forever home. Story
🌸 Meet Rosie 🌸 Rosie is an adorable retired breeding facility Miniature Poodle who is discovering just how wonderful life can be as a beloved family member. While the world is still a little big and scary to her at times, underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet, affectionate little dog who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Once Rosie trusts you, she is the ultimate cuddle bug. Her favorite place is on your lap, snuggled beside you on the couch, or curled up in bed at night. She follows her person from room to room and loves simply being near the people she loves. Rosie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly blossoms when she has canine friends around her. Playful dogs help bring out her silly side, and she has a funny, entertaining play style that is sure to make you smile. Because of this, we think she would do best in a home with another friendly dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. She is just beginning to learn how to walk on a leash, so her new family will need patience as she continues to gain confidence and learn new skills. Rosie would likely do well with cats and is fine with respectful children, but because she can be easily startled, she would do best with kids who understand when she needs a little space and who won't overwhelm her. Rosie is looking for a patient, understanding family willing to let her adjust at her own pace. Dogs from breeding facilities often need extra time to learn about life in a home, but the reward is incredible. Watching a dog like Rosie discover toys, affection, cozy beds, and the joy of being part of a family is one of the most heartwarming experiences you can have. If you're willing to invest a little patience and love, Rosie will repay you with endless devotion, cuddles, and companionship. Potty training is a work in progress. It is highly highly suggested to have a secure fence. Rosie's adoption fee is $450 plus tax. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org If you've ever considered adopting a former puppy mill or breeding facility dog, Rosie is a wonderful example of why it can be such a rewarding experience. The journey may take time, but earning the trust and love of a dog who has never known a normal family life is truly priceless.
