Story
**This dog is being housed at the Rochester Animal Control facility. In order to meet her you need to fill out an adoption application first! These can be found on the homepage of the Paws and Claws Humane Society website.**Meet Bougie! This little lady found her way to Animal Control as a found stray. She was heavily matted and she could barely see with so much fur covering her eyes. It was clear she needed some TLC so she got in for an emergency groom and was quickly feeling much better! She went through her stray hold and unfortunately no one ever came to claim her. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable around you, her sweet personality shines through! Now, with her fresh new look, she is ready for a new chapter of her life to begin! Bougie is estimated to be around 2 years old and is thought to be some miniature poodle mix. Due to her breed and coat type, she will need an adopter that is committed to keeping her on a regular grooming schedule for the rest of her life. Ideally she should be groomed every 6-10 weeks to keep her feeling and looking her best!Bougie is hoping to find a family that will spoil her for the rest of her life. Could that be with you? If you think she could be a good fit for you, apply online today!Adoption fee is $400 + $30 microchip fee + tax

✨ Meet “Joker” — The Professional Human Velcro System™ ✨ Introducing a rare, breeder-release mini poodle who has successfully completed his career change into a full-time human attachment system. We call him “Joker,” aka the Professional Human Velcro System™—a deluxe, soft-installed companion who comes pre-programmed with one primary function: attach self firmly to a warm human body and remain within immediate snuggle range at all times. Joker is extremely sweet, slightly clingy, and deeply committed to physical affection. Personal space is not in his vocabulary. In fact, he believes your chest, lap, or couch-side arm space is a custom-built comfort zone designed specifically for his occupancy. Once deployed, Joker will: • Melt onto your chest like warm poodle butter • Enter “loaf mode” within seconds • Maintain unwavering eye contact for emotional influence • Act personally offended if you attempt productivity or relocation He is a retired breeder dog now fully embracing his identity as a professional snuggler, nap enhancer, and expert-level shadow. 🐾 Training & life skills (in progress): • Kennel training: learning it is a safe space, though he prefers proximity-based lodging • Potty training: ongoing; outside still requires confidence-building and moral support • Leash training: not fully started, but early indications suggest he believes walking is optional when human carrying is available Joker’s Official Requirements for His Future Human: • Must understand he is still learning the world is safe and will need patience and reassurance • Must not mind a clingy little shadow who believes “personal space” is a myth • Must have an available lap/chest/couch-side arm at regular intervals for scheduled (and unscheduled) snuggle deployment • Must be willing to assist with outdoor potty missions, including encouragement and light commentary on bravery • Must be okay being deeply loved… constantly Social flexibility clause: Joker is perfectly fine living with another well-mannered dog or as an only dog where he can fully dedicate himself to human attachment duties. He is also open to peaceful coexistence with a canine housemate who understands that human seating surfaces are shared cuddle territory. If you’re looking for a tiny companion who believes love means staying physically connected at all times, Joker is currently accepting applications for his forever person. Story
Rosie is a tiny miniature poodle with a very gentle soul who is just beginning to learn that people can be kind. After spending her life in a breeding facility, everything about living in a home is new and overwhelming for her. She is much more shy and reserved than Bella and will need extra patience, understanding, and time to feel safe. Rosie is not leash trained or potty trained yet, but she is slowly starting to learn potty training and potty pad training. Because she is so timid, her future family should expect progress to come in small steps and be prepared to let her move at her own pace without pressure. A confident, friendly dog in the home will be very important for Rosie, as she looks to other dogs for comfort and guidance. She will also require a secure fenced yard since she is not leash trained and can easily become frightened in unfamiliar situations. While Rosie may not be the type of dog who immediately runs up for attention, there is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a shy dog like her. With a calm home, gentle encouragement, and lots of love, Rosie has the potential to slowly blossom into a devoted little companion. Apply to adopt at www.campcomapnion.org Adoption fee is $450 plus tax.
