*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Total Adoption Fee: $895 This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $500 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits—such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds—help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible! Dewar is the kind of dog who makes himself right at home in your heart. This sweet black-and-white poodle mix absolutely loves being around people and is happiest when he’s soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Whether he’s following you from room to room, leaning in for pets, or proudly carrying around a stick he found outside, Dewar is always ready to be part of the fun. He’s an easy houseguest, too — Dewar sleeps through the night like a champ, is fully potty trained when kept on a schedule, and does great in his crate. He also walks nicely on leash and seems eager to explore the world right alongside you. While he doesn’t know formal commands yet, he’s a smart little guy who enjoys attention and will likely love learning with his future family. Dewar has done well with larger dogs in his foster home and enjoys their company. He’s still figuring out cats — he may bark at them from his crate and can be a little excitable at first, but he has not shown aggression toward them. He also seems interested in toys like balls and sticks, giving little hints of a playful side that’s just waiting to shine.
