Story
Daisy is wonderfully uncomplicated. She wants soft food, a soft place to land, and people who understand that the best part of the day might simply be hanging out together. At around four years old and a whole 14 lbs, she is a petite all-white sweetheart with a slightly snaggle-toothed little smile and a very affectionate nature. She isn't looking for a busy life or a packed adventure schedule. Daisy is here for companionship, comfort and being wherever her people happen to be. Go watch Daisy on YouTube in “Daisy Darling | Low-Key, Loving & Easy Company” and spend a little time with this sweet, snaggly-toothed girl. She's not one for theatrics, but that's exactly her charm. https://youtu.be/O0S9zWgfOo4 Daisy is very people affectionate and loves simply being included. She doesn't need long walks or a ton of activity to keep her happy. An easy stroll, some time puttering around the house with you and a comfortable spot nearby sounds much more her speed. She has the kind of low-key energy that makes her especially easy to picture settling into everyday home life. She's also wonderfully easy around other animals. Daisy has spent time with both small and large dogs and is generally pretty indifferent to them. She doesn't need canine entertainment to enjoy herself and would be perfectly content sharing her home with another relaxed dog who understands the beauty of minding their own business. There is, however, apparently room in Daisy's heart for a little romance. She met Benson, a playful little guy around her size, and the two had quite the connection. Benson bounced around, flirted shamelessly and covered her in kisses, and Daisy was surprisingly into the whole thing. So while she isn't usually seeking out playmates, the right charming little gentleman may occasionally get past her defenses. Daisy also met our house cat and was calm, respectful and largely uninterested. Based on that introduction, we think she could be a lovely candidate for a home with a feline friend, especially one who appreciates similarly peaceful coexistence. And yes, we need to discuss the teeth. Daisy has an assortment of missing and snaggly ones that give her smile plenty of character, but don't let them fool you into adding ten years to her age. She's only estimated to be around four. Because of her dental situation, she prefers softer foods, an extremely reasonable request from a lady working with limited equipment. Daisy doesn't need much to be happy. She wants affection, a comfortable home, an easy routine and people she can quietly adore. Other mellow dogs are welcome, a respectful cat could fit right in, and long-distance hiking can remain somebody else's hobby. Meet Cane Male DOB: May 7, 2026 Weight: 5 lbs (current — still growing) Breed: Poodle / Terrier Mix Expected Size: Small breed (small to medium when fully grown) Neutered (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: In Progress (puppy vaccines up to age schedule) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Cane is a sweet, cuddly little puppy with a calm and easygoing personality. While many puppies are constantly on the move, Cane has a more relaxed approach to life and enjoys spending time close to his people. He loves affection, enjoys being held, and is happiest when he feels safe, comfortable, and included. At this young age, Cane is still learning about the world around him. He is curious and playful but tends to approach new experiences with a gentle, thoughtful attitude. His loving nature and relaxed temperament make him a wonderful companion for families looking for a puppy with a softer personality. As a Poodle / Terrier mix, Cane is expected to grow into an intelligent, affectionate, and loyal companion. This mix often produces dogs that are eager to learn, highly people-oriented, and adaptable to many different lifestyles. Early socialization, positive reinforcement, and consistent guidance will help him develop into a confident and well-mannered adult dog. Cane would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being He is still in the earliest stage of life and will need a family committed to helping him navigate puppyhood with patience, love, and guidance. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like most rescue puppies, Cane may not have had early structure, exposure, or training before entering care. Puppies at this age require supervision, patience, and consistent guidance as they learn basic life skills. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, accidents, teething, learning routines, and exploring their environment. These are all part of healthy puppy development. Cane will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Gentle guidance during development Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to feel fully at home With stability, patience, and love, Cane will grow into a confident and devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, and emotional responsibility. Cane will need: Routine vet visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care (fleas, ticks, parasites) Proper nutrition for healthy growth Daily exercise and enrichment Safe indoor living environment Ongoing training and socialization Because he is very young, consistency and structure are essential for healthy development and confidence building. Cane is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
