Story
Looking for a little shadow with a big heart? Meet Heather.
At just 12 pounds and around 2–3 years old, Heather is the ultimate lap
dog—affectionate, loyal, and happiest right by your side. Rescued by a really nice
lady after being abandoned at a car wash, this resilient girl cleaned up beautifully
and is now ready for a fresh start. She’s smart and learned the doggie door
immediately. She prefers pee pads or the patio, though, to do her business—but
don’t worry, she’ll happily sprint across the grass if there’s a squirrel involved!
Heather walks great on a leash, loves gentle companionship, and would thrive with a small, playful dog friend. Whoever brings Heather home won’t just be
lucky—they’ll be loved.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
